If there's one universal truth in life, it's that it can be unpredictable. Everyone experiences unexpected events that throw us off. Many Americans suffer from chronic neck and back pain - according to research, half of Americans over 18 develop musculoskeletal injuries that last longer than a year. These injuries often cause a range of mobility issues that make everyday tasks seem hard to do. The DRX9000: Relief from Chronic Back and Neck Pain

Are you sick of living day-to-day with long-lasting neck or back pain? Have you searched high and low for a safe and effective alternative to surgery? The DRX9000 may be the answer you're looking for.

Beloved by high-level athletes and even celebrities, this advanced medical device employs non-surgical spinal decompression therapy to treat painful conditions such as:

  • Bulging Discs
  • Herniated Discs
  • Spinal Stenosis
  • Facet Syndrome
  • Sciatica
  • Arm Pain from Nerves in Your Neck

The DRX9000 is a device that has been approved by the FDA for treating herniated discs through spinal decompression therapy. This therapy works by applying equal amounts of pressure on your vertebral columns, which stretches your spine and creates a gap between spinal discs. This gap allows for better nutrient flow through your spine, which can help heal injuries gradually with regular treatment sessions. The DRX9000 also utilizes servo motors that rely on nested closed-loop feedback to customize therapy to your unique needs. By using DRX9000, you can often speed up your recovery by addressing your spinal disc issues ASAP.

No Harmful Medications Needed (Do we really need this paragraph or could we just mention it int he beginning about how it is a non-pharmaceutical method)

Perhaps the most significant advantage of the DRX9000 is that it provides a non-pharmaceutical method for relieving pain. With the opioid epidemic affecting the entire nation, many patients are reluctant to take prescription painkillers. The DRX9000 offers a secure and non-addictive alternative for pain relief that does not require medication.

During the course of the treatment, the patient will lie down on a specially designed table that is connected to the machine. The table will then be gently stretched as the machine creates negative pressure within the affected disc. This process will be repeated over a series of sessions, typically ranging from 20 to 30 sessions, depending on the patient's specific condition.

The DRX9000 treatment is considered to be safe and effective for many patients. It is designed to be gentle on the body, and patients usually experience little to no discomfort during their sessions. The machine is also equipped with advanced safety features, including sensors that can detect any sudden movements and stop the machine if necessary.

Experience Optimized Healing with LiteCure Low-Level Laser Therapy

After reading the headline above, you might be asking yourself, "Are lasers really used for physical therapy in cityname, state?" The answer to your question would be a resounding "Yes!" This advanced type of laser therapy harnesses the power of light through photobiomodulation (PBM), which is revolutionizing how patients heal and deal with pain.

Photobiomodulation (PBM) is a medical process that utilizes targeted light to activate the body's natural healing mechanisms. By penetrating deep into the tissue, photons interact with mitochondria (the cellular powerhouses in your body) to increase energy production. This interaction triggers a biological cascade that leads to increased cellular metabolism. As a result, PBM can reduce pain, accelerate tissue repair, and enhance overall well-being.

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) is a non-invasive and painless treatment that utilizes specific wavelengths of light to stimulate healing and reduce pain. It works by penetrating the skin and tissues to promote cellular activity and increase blood flow, which in turn helps to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and accelerate the healing process.

LLLT has been shown to be effective for a variety of conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries, arthritis, neuropathy, and more. It is a safe and gentle treatment option that can aid in regaining function and mobility from injuries, accidents, surgeries, and other conditions. That makes it a viable and trustworthy addition to your personalized physical therapy plan from NJ Sports Spine & Wellness.

LLLT has shown promising results for challenging conditions that other treatments can't match. Some of the most common conditions treated include:

  • Muscle Pain
  • Pain from Tendinopathy
  • Osteoarthritis Pain
  • Swollen Joints
  • Myofascial Pain
  • Back and Neck Pain

Understanding the Powerful Benefits of Ice Compression Therapy

Sciatica Pain Therapy Spring Lake, NJ

Game Ready Ice Compression Therapy is an advanced treatment technique that combines the advantages of modern cryotherapy (ice therapy) with the proven benefits of compression therapy. This clinically proven, synergistic approach is widely used in sports medicine, physical therapy, orthopedics, and post-operative care to speed up recovery, alleviate pain and inflammation, and enhance rehabilitation.

The "cold" component of ice compression therapy helps nullify nerve-ending sensitivity, which provides pain relief. The extra compression gives you even more pain relief by reducing swelling and pressure on limbs and other body parts.

By improving lymphatic flow and enhancing blood circulation, compression therapy can help reduce swelling and edema, thereby improving your recovery process and simultaneously reducing pain and discomfort.

The concurrent use of cryotherapy and compression can enhance the body's innate healing mechanisms by reducing inflammation, mitigating tissue damage, and stimulating tissue repair.

Game Ready's combination therapy has been shown to be effective in improving joint flexibility and range of motion by promoting tissue healing. This treatment can be a great option for those looking to alleviate discomfort and improve overall joint health.

SPRING LAKE -- Spring Lake’s Board of Aldermen is expected on Monday to pass an ordinance declaring a road closure for the town’s Veterans Day ceremony.

The board meets at 6 p.m. in the Grady Howard Conference Room of the Spring Lake municipal complex.

The Veterans Day ceremony will take place on Nov. 10. It will also include the unveiling of a mural at the corner of Spring Avenue and Main Street.

According to the N.C. Department of Transportation, there are no other activities or road maintenance projects scheduled during the time of the event, so the state agency only requests an adopted ordinance by the town to close the road.

The Veterans Day event is co-hosted by the Spring Lake Military and Veterans Advisory and the Appearance and Sustainability committees.

The mural, which took three days to paint, will also be unveiled. Artist Max Dowdle, who was contracted by the town for the project, said this is his 30th mural painted this year; he’s done nearly 70 during his career.

“It’s really ramped up in the last 18 months,” he said of his work. “Coming out of Covid, municipalities started embracing public art.”

Dowdle’s background in art combined with his love for murals while helping a friend in New Jersey.

“I didn’t really feel it was for me at the time, but then I painted the entire Durham City Hall in 2019 and it started to become a full-time profession,” he said.

Dowdle has painted numerous murals across the state, as well as in Virginia, New Jersey and Washington, D.C. He has committed to other mural projects through March of next year, and has been engaged in a new project through N.C. Main Street, which calls for 100 murals across North Carolina’s 100 counties.

He said he’d love for Spring Lake to be one of the first in the new project series starting in April.

“There has been an awesome response from this community,” Dowdle said.

As he and other volunteers painted last Friday, passers-by stopped to provide a case of water and a local store around the corner donated more water and snacks for volunteers.

Christopher Larson and his wife, Kathleen Welloffman-Larson, found out about the project through a local news report and were painting alongside Buffy Taylor, who is training under Dowdle as a professional artist. Other volunteers included children who donated their time after their school days at Village Christian Academy and Warrenwood Elementary School ended.

Alderman Raul Palacios, who serves as an ex-officio board member of the Appearance Committee, stopped to share his thanks with volunteers and express appreciation. He said he hopes this will be the first of many on the new Spring Lake Art Trail.

Cynthia Wilt, a member of the Spring Lake Appearance and Sustainability Committee and the chairwoman of the mural project, said she hopes the committee will be able to hire Dowdle again — and this time concentrate on local legends and heroes. She said the committee has already been offered wall space in Spring Lake for another mural.

Dowdle said that close to a dozen volunteers helped in the first two days of his work and the project was able to stay on schedule through the end.

For the unveiling, Dr. David Dickerhoff, who serves on the Appearance and Sustainability Committee, said that First Presbyterian Church at 101 Spring Ave. will host a continental breakfast before the ceremony.

Gen. Dan Allyn, a retired Army general who served as the 35th vice chief of staff of the Army and the commanding general of the 18th Airborne Corps and U.S. Forces Command, will be the main speaker.

Other agenda items for Monday's meeting include an update from the contracted alliance code enforcement agency and a financial update from the Local Government Commission.

It's time to break out the fishing rods in New Jersey. The 2024 trout season is just around the corner, officially beginning on April 6 at 8 a.m.

This year, trout season in Spring Lake kicks off with what has become a local tradition for kids all over The Garden State. Even before the season is underway, the municipality gets the lake ready with the help of New Jersey’s youngest residents.

A week before opening day of trout season, kids from all over New Jersey will gather at Spring Lake to help get the waters ready for the upcoming 2024 season. Beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, trucks will arrive loaded with trout ready to be stocked.

It's a great even not only for kids, but adults alike. A bonus event that all are invited to where the kids can be part of the action at the intersection of East Lake and Mercer Avenues in Spring Lake, NJ.

Ever wonder what that looks like? Check out the photos below from one of the past year's events to see just how they do it, followed by details on this years Shark River Surf Anglers 2024 Trout Contest for Kids.

Ever wonder how lakes are stocked? These NJ kids show you how at Spring Lake

Such a great event for kids to get involved with ahead of New Jersey's trout fishing season.

The annual Shark River Surf Anglers 2024 Trout Contest for Kids is taking place on Saturday, April 6, 2024, beginning at 8 a.m. sharp along Spring Lake, in Spring Lake, NJ.

All kids will walk away with something just for participating. For those who do hook a fish, they'll be additional prizes to be won including trophies, rods, and more.

One word of advice though if you're thinking of taking part in the contest. Make sure you arrive early if you want to grab the best fishing spots.

As in years past, participants from all over New Jersey will be trying to squeeze in wherever they can along the shoreline. And because of the popularity of the contest, it might be tough to find an ideal fishing area if you arrive on the later side.

The contest ends at 1:30 p.m., with prizes being awarded by the club tent near the intersection of East Lake and Mercer Avenues beginning at 2 p.m.

Sometimes called the Irish Riviera because of the people of Irish ancestry who settled here, Monmouth County’s well-heeled town of Spring Lake (population: 2,776) has to be one of the prettiest spots to visit at the Shore. From its pristine beaches to its flower-filled, immaculate downtown to its grand old Victorian homes, Spring Lake is an immensely pleasurable small town for a day or weekend trip. Some say fall is the best time of year here, when the crowds have diminished, but the weather is still warm.

WHAT TO DO

Start your day at the beautiful beach, strolling along the boardwalk and taking in the scenery. Remember, there’s no eating on the beach, but visitors may snack on the benches along the boardwalk. After driving around town to take in the impressive, stately old homes, head to the delightful downtown. In the center is a small courtyard filled with flowers and topiaries shaped like dolphins.

Then stroll along the main street—Third Avenue—stopping in shops like Thunder Road Books, Jean Louise Homemade Candies and Bare Wires Surf and Skate. There’s still a shop downtown selling Irish goods, Irish Centre, and even a place for your pets—Dandy Canine. Most of the businesses are open year-round. No visit here is complete without a stop at the lake, with its picturesque footbridge and lovely views. On September 2 and 23, the downtown will be alive with the Spring Lake Art Walk.

WHERE TO EAT

For a quick bite, stop at Spring Lake Pizza or Dune Donuts and Bagels. Around the corner, you’ll find Joseph’s Delicatessen on Warren Avenue and Nick + Sons Bakery on Morris Avenue. For your coffee fix, check out Driftwood. Spring Lake Seafood is a casual new dining spot and fish market downtown that offers fresh, local fish with a modern twist. The owners work with local fishing boats and farms to provide high-quality products while supporting the local economy. Of course, don’t forget to finish off your meal with a visit to one of the town’s enjoyable ice cream spots, such as Belle’s Ice Cream or the Sundae Times.

WHERE TO STAY

The Breakers on the Ocean, a lovely hotel across the street from the ocean, is a delightful spot to relax while also feeling pampered. Joseph Scardino and his family have owned this spot for 44 years—it’s the only full-service hotel on the ocean, and the only one in town with a pool. The hotel, which has incredible views of the ocean from its front porch, has 75 newly renovated rooms. The food is fabulous here as well, with breakfast, lunch and dinner on offer.

The Spring Lake Inn, with its huge front porch, is only a block from the ocean and is elegant yet unpretentious. The Chateau Inn & Suites is another lovely place to stay in town and is located near the lake and the downtown area.
