If there's one universal truth in life, it's that it can be unpredictable. Everyone experiences unexpected events that throw us off. Many Americans suffer from chronic neck and back pain - according to research, half of Americans over 18 develop musculoskeletal injuries that last longer than a year. These injuries often cause a range of mobility issues that make everyday tasks seem hard to do. The DRX9000: Relief from Chronic Back and Neck Pain

Are you sick of living day-to-day with long-lasting neck or back pain? Have you searched high and low for a safe and effective alternative to surgery? The DRX9000 may be the answer you're looking for.

Beloved by high-level athletes and even celebrities, this advanced medical device employs non-surgical spinal decompression therapy to treat painful conditions such as:

  • Bulging Discs
  • Herniated Discs
  • Spinal Stenosis
  • Facet Syndrome
  • Sciatica
  • Arm Pain from Nerves in Your Neck

The DRX9000 is a device that has been approved by the FDA for treating herniated discs through spinal decompression therapy. This therapy works by applying equal amounts of pressure on your vertebral columns, which stretches your spine and creates a gap between spinal discs. This gap allows for better nutrient flow through your spine, which can help heal injuries gradually with regular treatment sessions. The DRX9000 also utilizes servo motors that rely on nested closed-loop feedback to customize therapy to your unique needs. By using DRX9000, you can often speed up your recovery by addressing your spinal disc issues ASAP.

No Harmful Medications Needed (Do we really need this paragraph or could we just mention it int he beginning about how it is a non-pharmaceutical method)

Perhaps the most significant advantage of the DRX9000 is that it provides a non-pharmaceutical method for relieving pain. With the opioid epidemic affecting the entire nation, many patients are reluctant to take prescription painkillers. The DRX9000 offers a secure and non-addictive alternative for pain relief that does not require medication.

During the course of the treatment, the patient will lie down on a specially designed table that is connected to the machine. The table will then be gently stretched as the machine creates negative pressure within the affected disc. This process will be repeated over a series of sessions, typically ranging from 20 to 30 sessions, depending on the patient's specific condition.

The DRX9000 treatment is considered to be safe and effective for many patients. It is designed to be gentle on the body, and patients usually experience little to no discomfort during their sessions. The machine is also equipped with advanced safety features, including sensors that can detect any sudden movements and stop the machine if necessary.

Experience Optimized Healing with LiteCureâ„¢ Low-Level Laser Therapy

After reading the headline above, you might be asking yourself, "Are lasers really used for physical therapy in cityname, state?" The answer to your question would be a resounding "Yes!" This advanced type of laser therapy harnesses the power of light through photobiomodulation (PBM), which is revolutionizing how patients heal and deal with pain.

Photobiomodulation (PBM) is a medical process that utilizes targeted light to activate the body's natural healing mechanisms. By penetrating deep into the tissue, photons interact with mitochondria (the cellular powerhouses in your body) to increase energy production. This interaction triggers a biological cascade that leads to increased cellular metabolism. As a result, PBM can reduce pain, accelerate tissue repair, and enhance overall well-being.

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) is a non-invasive and painless treatment that utilizes specific wavelengths of light to stimulate healing and reduce pain. It works by penetrating the skin and tissues to promote cellular activity and increase blood flow, which in turn helps to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and accelerate the healing process.

LLLT has been shown to be effective for a variety of conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries, arthritis, neuropathy, and more. It is a safe and gentle treatment option that can aid in regaining function and mobility from injuries, accidents, surgeries, and other conditions. That makes it a viable and trustworthy addition to your personalized physical therapy plan from NJ Sports Spine & Wellness.

LLLT has shown promising results for challenging conditions that other treatments can't match. Some of the most common conditions treated include:

Understanding the Powerful Benefits of Ice Compression Therapy

Game Ready Ice Compression Therapy is an advanced treatment technique that combines the advantages of modern cryotherapy (ice therapy) with the proven benefits of compression therapy. This clinically proven, synergistic approach is widely used in sports medicine, physical therapy, orthopedics, and post-operative care to speed up recovery, alleviate pain and inflammation, and enhance rehabilitation.

The "cold" component of ice compression therapy helps nullify nerve-ending sensitivity, which provides pain relief. The extra compression gives you even more pain relief by reducing swelling and pressure on limbs and other body parts.

By improving lymphatic flow and enhancing blood circulation, compression therapy can help reduce swelling and edema, thereby improving your recovery process and simultaneously reducing pain and discomfort.

The concurrent use of cryotherapy and compression can enhance the body's innate healing mechanisms by reducing inflammation, mitigating tissue damage, and stimulating tissue repair.

Game Ready's combination therapy has been shown to be effective in improving joint flexibility and range of motion by promoting tissue healing. This treatment can be a great option for those looking to alleviate discomfort and improve overall joint health.

UPDATE: 1 family ‘lost everything,’ 2 businesses destroyed in enormous N.J. fire, mayor says

Dozens of firefighters and multiple fire vehicles were on the scene Sunday in South River as a fire broke out on a busy business thoroughfare, according to a local photographer and the employee of a nearby business.

The fire, according to Elias Paone who posted images of the incident, was “massive” and took place “on all floors” of a building at 43 Main St. on Sunday morning.

A dispatcher at the South River Fire Department said Sunday afternoon he could not provide details on the blaze — noting that the fire chief was not available for comment as he was still directing the response.

“We were on our way to work and that’s when we saw an ambulance and fire truck coming this way,” said Marlen Perez, an employee of Mami Evi’s Latino Kitchen Restaurant, who arrived to the business with two other coworkers on Sunday at about 10 a.m.

Mami Evi’s is located across the street from where the fire took place.

”We saw that the road was closed so we came through the back of our restaurant in order to go in,” said Perez, “and that’s when we raised the curtains and we saw the fire literally in front of our eyes.”

Perez said the fire took place above two businesses and sent plumes of smoke billowing above the street, which is usually bustling on Sundays.

At 3:10 p.m., she noted crews remained on Main Street but it appeared the fire — which she believed impacted a business and an apartment across the way — had been mostly extinguished.

It’s unclear how the fire broke out, she said.

Diane Concannon, of the American Red Cross of New Jersey, said Sunday afternoon that the organization was assisting at least four people from two families with temporary lodging, food, clothing and other immediate needs.

Photos of the scene, provided by Paone, show fire crews from East Brunswick and Sayreville assisting in the response on Main Street.

Paone said he also spotted first responders from Piscataway and Metuchen.

Vans from RWJBarnabas Health, the Milltown Rescue Squad and PSE&G were also on the scene. Some nearby residents indicated power had briefly been cut as crews battled the fire.

Perez said Mami Evi’s closed for two hours and for safety reasons employees evacuated the restaurant.

While parts of Main Street were still cordoned off with yellow tape as of 3 p.m., Perez noted, the restaurant had since reopened Sunday afternoon.

South River met New Brunswick for the first time since 2014 on Tuesday night in the biggest game of the season so far for the Rams.

South River, the No. 11 seed in the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament, made history as it defeated third-seeded New Brunswick in the quarterfinals 4-2 to advance to the semifinal round for the first time ever.

Complete Box Score »

“It feels great, hard work pays off,” South River’s Pablo Melgarejo said. “We worked during the preseason, our division games are hard too, they’re not easy. We’ve worked really hard, it took us a lot to come here and play against this team and be where we’re at right now, and I think we’re just warriors. We play with our hearts no matter what. We stay together, no matter who scores, there’s no selfishness, we just play together.”

It was the second-straight win over a Red Division team for South River, which plays in the Blue Division during the regular season. The Rams defeated sixth-seeded Old Bridge in the first round 3-2 to advance to the quarterfinals. New Brunswick, which advanced to the quarterfinals with a 4-3, penalty kick victory over No. 14 Woodbridge, was looking to advance to the semifinals for the second-straight year.

On Tuesday, New Brunswick came out hard and fast at the start of the game and aggressively pressured South River right off the bat. But the Rams were able to swing the momentum in their favor when Selvin Fugon scored on an assist from Carlos Bello Gonzalez for a 1-0 lead in the eighth minute.

“Coming into the game, they’re the No. 3 seed, we knew it was going to be hard,” South River’s Tiago Capela said. “We all came out a little flat-footed, not expecting how much they were going to pressure and how aggressive they would be. But once that first goal went in, we knew they were on their heels after that and that’s when we knew we had to take advantage of it. So we just continued to attack, continued to press.”

The game was 1-0 South River at the half, but just two minutes into the second half the Rams found themselves up 2-0 after a New Brunswick own goal. In the 55th minute Fugon scored his second goal of the night on an assist from Capela to give South River a 3-0 lead.

But New Brunswick didn’t stay down for long as Gregory Cruz scored one minute later to cut the lead to 3-1 in the 56th minute, and then in the 69th minute Jorge Ceballos scored on a penalty kick to cut the lead to 3-2.

“We’re fighters. We’ve had games in the past where we were winning 2-0, 3-0, and they get one goal and we all put our heads down,” Capela said. “We all know if we put our heads down our playing level is going to begin to decrease, so we know how important it is. No matter what happens, if you concede, keep your head up. Fight harder, that’s all it means, you just have to attack more and be more aggressive.”

That’s exactly what the Rams did and in the 78th minute Fugon scored his third goal of the night on another assist from Capela to give South River the 4-2 victory and a berth in the semifinals.

“Our expectation was just to play hard, we played hard last year but sadly we were knocked out in the first round, we didn’t want that this year,” Melgarejo said. “We just came here to play, we played hard, we knew they were a hard team too, they have great players, but soccer is a game where you win on goals so we played a hell of a game I think. Our whole team worked together, we played as one, we win as one and that’s what we said at the beginning of the game, just win this one and that’s how we did it today.”

South River will now face second-seeded South Brunswick, which defeated seventh-seeded Sayreville 5-2 in the quarterfinals. Top-seeded Monroe, which defeated No. 8 St. Joseph (Met.) 3-2 in overtime, will face fourth-seeded East Brunswick, which defeated No. 5 Colonia 3-1.

South River hasn’t faced South Brunswick yet this season, and the Vikings will be the third-straight Red Division team that the Rams have faced so far this tournament. The last time South River and South Brunswick played was 2020 and the Rams won 2-1.

Frank Noppenberger has been selected for induction to the South River High School Wall of Fame.

A 1972 graduate of the high school, where he was a three-sport athlete who went on to play football at West Chester State College, Noppenberger has brought prestige and acclaim to his alma mater as an educator and administrator.

The South River High School Wall of Fame honors alumni who have exhibited a high level of achievement in their field and who possess the qualities of a positive role model for South River youth. The names and pictures of inductees appear on the Wall of Fame, located in the high school’s main corridor.

Noppenberger will be feted during the South River Wall of Fame/National Honor Society Induction Dinner at the South River Portuguese Club on Dec. 7.

“No one, in my opinion, deserves consideration for this award more than Frank,” South River alumnus Don Heilman said. “He has become everything that the honor represents. He is the kind of person that makes us all proud to be graduates of South River High School.”

As an educator, mentor, and administrator, Noppenberger has selflessly dedicated nearly five decades of his life to assisting student-athletes, teachers, and coaches throughout Middlesex County and beyond.

The former East Brunswick High School athletics director, physical education teacher, and coach currently serves as executive director of the Greater Middlesex Conference, where his experience and leadership remain invaluable.

Through his involvement in myriad roles with the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association, including serving on the organization’s executive committee, Noppenberger remains among the state’s most respected athletics administrators.

“Frank is respected by everyone in the athletic family within Middlesex County and across the state of New Jersey,” Noppenberger’s former high school teammate Joe Susan said. “His athletic program was always competitive, and the coaches and players did things the right way both on and off the field.”

Susan called Noppenberger a “consummate leader” and “man of integrity” who “exemplifies selfless service.” Heilman noted that Noppenberger is “loved, respected, and admired.”

Noppenberger is the only athletics director from the Greater Middlesex Conference to win the conference’s Athletics Director of the Year award three times, a testament to the profound impact he has made on scholastic sports.

A photo Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee and fellow South River High School graduate Drew Pearson autographed for Noppenberger appropriately reads, “To the best AD in New Jersey.” Noppenberger received that very honor in 2011 when he was named the Directors of Athletics Association of New Jersey’s statewide Athletics Director of the Year.

A staunch supporter of high school athletics with an emphasis on sportsmanship and character, Noppenberger always promotes student-athletes in the most positive light. Senator Patrick Diegnan, whose legislative district includes South River and East Brunswick, said Noppenberger “has a giving nature and is always willing to help others.”

Noppenberger serves on the board of trustees for The Marisa Tufaro Foundation, which has donated more than $300,000 to fulfill its mission of assisting pediatric patients and other children in need throughout the greater Middlesex County area. He plays a paramount role as a spokesperson at fundraising events and has assisted with donation drives that have generated thousands of toys, nonperishable food items, winter jackets, baby supplies and other items for charity.

Noppenberger taught health and physical education at East Brunswick High School from 1977-87 and served as East Brunswick’s athletics director from 1988-2015.

Noppenberger was a head basketball (1984-88) and assistant football coach (1977-84) at East Brunswick, where he earned Coach of the Year honors from the Home News, News Tribune, and WCTC on the hardwood in 1984 and 1988. He led East Brunswick’s basketball team to two Red Division titles, a conference tournament crown, and a sectional championship. Noppenberger still has the highest winning percentage of any coach in East Brunswick boys basketball history.

“Frank’s reputation around the state as a class act and the ultimate professional is well deserved,” former East Brunswick boys basketball coach Bo Henning said.

“Frank is truly a generational administrator who was and is equally effective working with a 25-year veteran or a newly hired teacher or coach. He possesses an incredible gift that allows him to motivate everyone to excel in their craft yet can remain an extremely close friend. His pride in mentoring young educators through a variety of programs proves what an innovative mind he has.”

The New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association honored Frank with its Visionary Award in 2009, while the William Denny/Rutgers Football Letterwinners Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame subsequently named Noppenberger its Distinguished American.

“Success and excellence do not happen by accident,” Henning said. “Frank’s strong work ethic, belief in character, and passion for sports at East Brunswick and throughout Middlesex County make him a great candidate for this tremendous honor.”

Noppenberger was Greater Middlesex Conference president from 1990-94 and has served on the league’s executive committee for more than three decades. He has chaired conference committees for seven varsity sports and been instrumental in the league’s Sportsmanship and Scholar-Athlete programs. Noppenberger founded the conference’s Student-Athlete Advisory Council.

He has also served on the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletics Association’s Advisory and Hall of Fame selection committees.

“Frank has strong moral standards and is a loving husband (to Nancy) and father (to Lise, Caroline, and Christine),” Susan said.

“He is someone that South River should be very proud of. He exemplifies what our town stands for – strength, confidence, work ethic and humility.”
