If there's one universal truth in life, it's that it can be unpredictable. Everyone experiences unexpected events that throw us off. While some surprises may only affect our bank accounts, such as home expenses, others can cause physical harm, such as car accidents that result in long-term pain and discomfort. Many Americans suffer from chronic neck and back pain - according to research, half of Americans over 18 develop musculoskeletal injuries that last longer than a year. These injuries often cause a range of mobility issues that make everyday tasks seem hard to do. The DRX9000: Relief from Chronic Back and Neck Pain

Are you sick of living day-to-day with long-lasting neck or back pain? Have you searched high and low for a safe and effective alternative to surgery? The DRX9000 may be the answer you're looking for.

Beloved by high-level athletes and even celebrities, this advanced medical device employs non-surgical spinal decompression therapy to treat painful conditions such as:

  • Bulging Discs
  • Herniated Discs
  • Spinal Stenosis
  • Facet Syndrome
  • Sciatica
  • Arm Pain from Nerves in Your Neck

The DRX9000 is a device that has been approved by the FDA for treating herniated discs through spinal decompression therapy. This therapy works by applying equal amounts of pressure on your vertebral columns, which stretches your spine and creates a gap between spinal discs. This gap allows for better nutrient flow through your spine, which can help heal injuries gradually with regular treatment sessions. The DRX9000 also utilizes servo motors that rely on nested closed-loop feedback to customize therapy to your unique needs. By using DRX9000, you can often speed up your recovery by addressing your spinal disc issues ASAP.

No Harmful Medications Needed (Do we really need this paragraph or could we just mention it int he beginning about how it is a non-pharmaceutical method)

Perhaps the most significant advantage of the DRX9000 is that it provides a non-pharmaceutical method for relieving pain. With the opioid epidemic affecting the entire nation, many patients are reluctant to take prescription painkillers. The DRX9000 offers a secure and non-addictive alternative for pain relief that does not require medication.

During the course of the treatment, the patient will lie down on a specially designed table that is connected to the machine. The table will then be gently stretched as the machine creates negative pressure within the affected disc. This process will be repeated over a series of sessions, typically ranging from 20 to 30 sessions, depending on the patient's specific condition.

The DRX9000 treatment is considered to be safe and effective for many patients. It is designed to be gentle on the body, and patients usually experience little to no discomfort during their sessions. The machine is also equipped with advanced safety features, including sensors that can detect any sudden movements and stop the machine if necessary.

Experience Optimized Healing with LiteCure Low-Level Laser Therapy

After reading the headline above, you might be asking yourself, "Are lasers really used for physical therapy in cityname, state?" The answer to your question would be a resounding "Yes!" This advanced type of laser therapy harnesses the power of light through photobiomodulation (PBM), which is revolutionizing how patients heal and deal with pain.

Photobiomodulation (PBM) is a medical process that utilizes targeted light to activate the body's natural healing mechanisms. By penetrating deep into the tissue, photons interact with mitochondria (the cellular powerhouses in your body) to increase energy production. This interaction triggers a biological cascade that leads to increased cellular metabolism. As a result, PBM can reduce pain, accelerate tissue repair, and enhance overall well-being.

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) is a non-invasive and painless treatment that utilizes specific wavelengths of light to stimulate healing and reduce pain. It works by penetrating the skin and tissues to promote cellular activity and increase blood flow, which in turn helps to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and accelerate the healing process.

LLLT has been shown to be effective for a variety of conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries, arthritis, neuropathy, and more. It is a safe and gentle treatment option that can aid in regaining function and mobility from injuries, accidents, surgeries, and other conditions. That makes it a viable and trustworthy addition to your personalized physical therapy plan from NJ Sports Spine & Wellness.

LLLT has shown promising results for challenging conditions that other treatments can't match. Some of the most common conditions treated include:

Understanding the Powerful Benefits of Ice Compression Therapy

Game Ready Ice Compression Therapy is an advanced treatment technique that combines the advantages of modern cryotherapy (ice therapy) with the proven benefits of compression therapy. This clinically proven, synergistic approach is widely used in sports medicine, physical therapy, orthopedics, and post-operative care to speed up recovery, alleviate pain and inflammation, and enhance rehabilitation.

The "cold" component of ice compression therapy helps nullify nerve-ending sensitivity, which provides pain relief. The extra compression gives you even more pain relief by reducing swelling and pressure on limbs and other body parts.

By improving lymphatic flow and enhancing blood circulation, compression therapy can help reduce swelling and edema, thereby improving your recovery process and simultaneously reducing pain and discomfort.

The concurrent use of cryotherapy and compression can enhance the body's innate healing mechanisms by reducing inflammation, mitigating tissue damage, and stimulating tissue repair.

Game Ready's combination therapy has been shown to be effective in improving joint flexibility and range of motion by promoting tissue healing. This treatment can be a great option for those looking to alleviate discomfort and improve overall joint health.

NORTH BRUNSWICK – Mayor Francis "Mac" Womack III provided updates on the two biggest projects in the township during last week’s reorganization meeting.

The sixth-term mayor discussed the two issues that dominate North Brunswick's municipal discussions – the closed municipal building and the planned train station.

"The damage that our building sustained during Tropical Storm Ida was substantial," Womack said. "It was unexpectedly swift and devastating. Our dealings with the insurance and contractors, on the other hand, have been unexpectedly slow and frustrating.

“Your Township Council has rightly insisted that we move forward as swiftly as possible in the repair and reoccupation of the building and arranged for financing to allow construction to begin while we await reimbursement from insurers and decisions on our application to the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Today, the rebuilding is proceeding, and we are getting closer to a final resolution with the insurers that will allow us to return the township services under one roof in the not distant future."

Business Administrator Justine Progebin said the township is on track to open the building in 2024.

The first departments to open will be the Municipal Clerk, Police and Court, which is expected to open in summer or early fall, she said.

Once the courtroom reopens, public meetings, including council, planning and zoning meetings, are planned to resume at the municipal building.

Womack also provided an update on the new train station.

"Engineering and permitting, which are huge parts of any public construction project, have substantially been completed," he said. "Extension of the tracks that will reach into North Brunswick from New Brunswick have begun. The accelerated schedules for new tunnels that will carry passengers into New York will now help keep our train station on track. We won’t be boarding passengers this year, but we will see steady progress in both the Transit Village area and the train station."

During the coming years, the township will look to its Planning and Zoning boards to implement plans for development that maximize the many advantages of the township’s location and infrastructure, Womack said.

"Our neighbor and Middlesex County’s greatest economic engine is New Brunswick, and they are experiencing a ponderous revitalization," he said. "As an adjacent community, North Brunswick must itself be part of the revitalization."

Livingston and Jersey avenues are southern gateways into the vibrantly renewed theater district and medical services center, the mayor said.

"We must investigate with foresight and imagination, the ways in which these corridors can not only be attractive first-class roadways, but also commercial and residential highlights of our community, bringing new housing, additional medical facilities, adult care and shopping opportunities, together with new parks and recreation facilities," he said.

But the mayor said it won’t be enough just to plan for and approve certain projects.

The administration and council will press legislators, as well as the county commissioners, for development and redevelopment project funding, he said.

Councilwoman Amanda Guadagnino has long advocated for North Brunswick to explore the development of its own indoor recreation facility, Womack said.

"That exploration, including building costs, operation expenses and funding options will have to be one of this administration’s highest priorities during this term," the mayor said.

Upgrading or replacing the library and senior center are also high on the list of priorities, the mayor said.

"Finding funding sources, securing grants and bringing to fruition the construction of a new library will be a top priority over the next several years," Womack said. "Along with the library, the upgrading or replacement of the senior center will be front and center in the town's priorities."

There is a nationwide crisis in volunteer emergency service providers, which has hit municipalities throughout New Jersey especially hard, Womack said.

"The situation in North Brunswick is dire," the mayor said. "We can no longer put off decisions regarding the manner in which our First Aid and Rescue Squad, and our fire services, are funded.”

The mayor said he will form a working group, including representatives of the council and all emergency services, whose goal will be "to expeditiously evaluate the needs of all of our emergency service providers and formulate plans to keep their operations financially stable, so the safety of the township residents can be assured into the future."

In consultation with the council, the mayor said he will begin his new term with an assessment of the township’s core services and whether they are being provided in the most cost-effective manner.

"We have a lot to accomplish, and I thank you for allowing me to be part of the process," Womack said. "I promise to do my very best."

A Halal smokehouse with a popular North Jersey location is coming to North Brunswick.

Kanoon Restaurant in the Brunswick Shopping Center will be the second New Jersey location for owner and operator Mohammad Yousuf Bhuri, who opened his first Kanoon spot earlier this year in Clifton.

Kanoon offers American barbecue with a Middle Eastern twist in a menu featuring smoked and grilled meats, infused with spices.

“Many of our current patrons come from Central Jersey, making Brunswick Shopping Center the perfect choice for Kanoon’s growth,” said Bhuri in a news release. “Guests can expect the same delicious, high-quality food, warm hospitality and great experience that has made our Clifton restaurant so popular. We are looking forward to serving new and existing customers from this North Brunswick location.”

Dr. Sal Washah, a retired professor from NJIT, another of the restaurant's owners, said Kanoon in Arabic means the old oven or the old grill, where the meat is cooked and smoked, and represents the theme of the restaurant.

Washah said the restaurant offers halal, or smoked meat, as well as steaks, kabobs and vegetarian appetizers. It will offer the same menu as its Clifton location.

North Brunswick, he said, needed something the restaurant could offer.

More:Manville isn't on your list of food destinations, but it should be. Here's why

"We found out there was a need for such unique food in that area. There is no one else in that area that has the type of food and quality of food that we will be offering, that will service all the North Brunswick and the surrounding area, of all different shapes and kinds of people and religions," Washah said.

"Because it's halal … the meat is slaughtered in a certain way, which is a little bit expensive, and with that, it's going to be very, very high-quality meat, which is everything to you, from a health point of view, and from a cultural point of view as well," he said.

Some of the favorite offerings, Washah said, are the smoked beef ribs, smoked beef brisket, lamb shoulder and lamb neck.

"We have also kabobs of all kinds. Those are the most popular, and, of course, the steak," he said.

Other items on the menu will include smoked lamb sausage, fresh lemon juice and garlic; Kanoon stuffed whole chicken with farika or rice; Kanoon smoked brisket burger; smoked meat sandwich; and desserts.

Washah said the target opening date is Dec. 1 and if not, Jan. 1. Hours of operation will be from 11:30 a.m. until 11 p.m. seven days a week.

Washah said they expect to have "a minimum of 20" people on staff at the North Brunswick location, and expects to be posting about the jobs "very soon."

The restaurant, Washah said, is also in the process of opening up a location on Long Island and one in Connecticut.

The Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey have unveiled the organization’s third “DreamLab,” a space designed to educate and inspire young girls. Starting in October, Girl Scout troops in Southern New Jersey can reserve the DreamLab for meetings and activities. This is the first DreamLab to open on the east coast, followed by others in Denver, CO and Gonzales, LA.

“The DreamLab concept was developed with input from Girl Scouts all over the country,” said Ginny Hill, CEO of the Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey. “We want this space to be versatile, serving as a hub for everything from working on badges and journeys to hosting troop meetings and assisting with Gold or Silver Award projects. The possibilities are truly limitless.”

In honor of the new facility, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy declared September 13, 2023 as “Girl Scout Dream Day.”

Brunswick Shopping Center in North Brunswick. - Levin Management Corp.

Two new tenants are coming to Brunswick Shopping Center in North Brunswick. The latest additions include halal smokehouse Kanoon restaurant, at 3,250 square feet, and tax preparer H&R Block, at 1,500 square feet.

Levin Management Corp. serves as exclusive leasing and managing agent for the 288,000-square-foot property, located just off Route 1 on Milltown Road. LMC’s Vanessa Fernandez-Kelty, senior leasing representative, and Fred Younkin, leasing representative, negotiated the transactions on behalf of property ownership; Ryan Feldman of Alliance Retail Development represented H&R Block.

The new restaurant marks the second Garden State location for owner/operator Mohammad Yousuf Bhuri, who opened his first Kanoon restaurant earlier this year in Clifton. As the first halal smokehouse in New Jersey, Kanoon offers American barbecue with a Middle Eastern twist. The menu features expertly smoked and grilled meats, infused with aromatic spices.

“Many of our current patrons come from central New Jersey, making Brunswick Shopping Center the perfect choice for Kanoon’s growth,” Bhuri said. “Guests can expect the same delicious, high-quality food, warm hospitality and great experience that has made our Clifton restaurant so popular. We are looking forward to serving new and existing customers from this North Brunswick location.”

Restaurants remain among the most active sectors in retail leasing today and contribute significantly to a shopping center’s appeal, Younkin noted.

“Kanoon already has a loyal following, and the concept is a terrific fit for the property and neighborhood,” he said. “We are pleased to have accommodated their space needs at Brunswick Shopping Center and are confident Kanoon’s presence will diversify the local dining scene and be a terrific draw for local restaurant goers.”

Blending digital innovation with human expertise, H&R Block provides clients with tax preparation services, financial products and small-business solutions.

“H&R Block complements the center’s existing service-oriented tenants and undoubtedly will be a valuable amenity for many consumers,” Fernandez-Kelty said.

Brunswick Shopping Center sits in the heart of North Brunswick’s retail corridor. The retail destination draws 1.5 million visitors per year, according to real-time traffic data from Placer.ai.

Anchored by a Lidl supermarket, the property’s tenant mix includes a newly renovated LA Fitness, Dollar Tree, McDonald’s, Sherwin Williams, Sally Beauty, Community Dental, Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard, Roma Unisex Salon, Rainbow Apparel, Alex Diamond Joyeria and Magyar Bank, among others. The center serves a growing residential population of more than 280,000 residents within a five-mile radius and is proximate to both Rutgers and DeVry universities.
