This is not a standard PT office. NJSS&W has state of the art equipment. From the moment you walk in, you see all of the machines & gym equipment being used. It's busy in there but a good busy. Busy with people getting better, stronger with educated trainers and people who care. My 14yo daughter had meniscus repair surgery from a soccer injury. Being at the other place was very very basic. They were not as knowledgeable. They had ONE therapist there and a couple of assistants that were very inexperienced. I was not confident there at all. Which is why I moved her. Here at NJSS&W They all communicate effectively and step in for each other & when they jump in they know exactly what to do. No time being wasted here. The sports aspect is another reason I am so happy we moved. They have my daughter doing soccer drills now. HOWEVER, at first, it was ALL about strengthening. They did not want to rush it at all. She was properly evaluated by the head Physical Therapist, Rachel, and she made sure to reach out to the Surgeons office several times to get updated information on her recovery and expectations. She was adamant that my daughter was physically ready to go to the next level of exercises by testing her limits prior to. The professionalism here is amazing and my daughter is so happy going to her therapy visits. Every time she leaves she feels happy, confident, stronger and motivated. Not only is the staff incredible, the facility is new and cleanly. I’d like to tell you about my experience. I had hurt my shoulder lifting. It was an overuse injury. I went to NJ Sports Spine and wellness in tears. I was in so much pain I could not bear it. They brought me in a private room with the head Chiropractor Tony Ambrogio and Elisa, an amazing OT. I told them what was going on, they immediately started treating and working on me. Tony carefully adjusted me and Elisa performed OT with deep tissue massage in the area. They also used a laser that penetrates deeply into the muscle to accelerate healing. I was required to attend physical therapy three times a week for four+ weeks. I will admit, hearing that was not ideal. However, as I continue going, feeling a difference in my pain, and gradually healing, I started to really enjoy it. Not only have they worked on my posture, they have strengthen the muscles around the affected area to relieve the strain and pain. The first week attending, I performed a strength test, about a month and a half later, I repeated the test and have increased my strength in all areas of my upper back and neck area. It has been about two months since I started going, and I can say I am currently pain-free. With the adjustments, the occupational therapy, and the physical therapy, I can say I am healed. Going forward, I am going to continue the exercises and stretches they have shown me to make sure that this never happens again. I have also been able to include certain exercises in my personal workouts that I previously needed to avoid that would have aggravated my neck and upper back. Overall, my experience has been wonderful. Like I said, the staff is absolutely wonderful! Everyone is so nice, caring, and I can see them all go above and beyond for every patient. Even when I was sick with the flu, I received a phone call from my chiropractor Tony and my OT Elisa to check in on me. I can’t think of any other business that cares as much about their patients as NJSSW. Both Tony and Elisa are so easy to talk to, they always make me feel comfortable and well taken care of. On a side note, I have had to bring my three-year-old toddler with me on a few occasions. They were very accommodating, they offered and provided a private room. Elisa even played with my son in between her clients in order for me to perform my exercises without a distraction. The team there goes above and beyond. Even staff that I have not personally worked with greet me by name and assist as needed. The front desk staff is always friendly and very accommodating with booking appointments and rescheduling if need be.

A New Jersey pizza shop just got an offer it couldn’t refuse.

Paramount Pictures is demanding that The Doughfather in Monroe Township change its logo and branding, which the film studio claims is too similar to that of its iconic 1972 film “The Godfather.”

Max D’Amico, the pizzeria owner, told News12 New Jersey he thought the notice was a prank until he saw the studio’s official letterhead.

“I didn’t mean no harm to anybody, but we’re going to correct that,” he said.

He added that the revised logo will swap the puppet strings for “a hand throwing a pinch of salt or a thumbs up.”

D’Amico, who immigrated to the US as a child, said his admiration for the mob classic inspired both the shop’s name and its look.

“It’s one of the greatest movies ever made,” he told WABC-TV.

“I was 7 years old watching it with the family. It was a snowy day. We sat there for six hours.”

His wife, Dina, came up with the moniker.

“You’re the ‘Doughfather.’ You’re the king of all,” she told New Jersey 101.5 radio.

“At first he was hesitant, but I was like, ‘No, that’s who you are.’”

The couple said they had worked with a designer to create a logo showing Max’s silhouette styled as Marlon Brando’s Vito Corleone — complete with puppet strings. The design appeared on every surface, from pizza boxes to staff shirts.

Then came the call from Hollywood.

“They said that they called the but we never had anything. They were sending it to the wrong email,” Max D’Amico told 101.5.

“Then Dina actually picked up the phone, and she’s like, ‘what’s going on?’ And she gave the right email. She says ‘This thing is real.’ So let’s straighten it out right away’,” Max said.

“Paramount Pictures is concerned by The Doughfather’s adoption [of the logo],” attorney Christine Sun wrote in the letter, which warned that the company could sue if the pizzeria didn’t comply, according to NJ.com.

Sun said the restaurant’s branding copied the film’s “distinctive typeface and script design” and “identical marionette design.”

Despite the dispute, Paramount’s letter stopped short of objecting to the pizzeria’s name itself — allowing D’Amico to keep The Doughfather brand as long as it doesn’t resemble “The Godfather” and its protected artwork.

The original logo also carried the slogan “pizza you can’t refuse,” echoing Don Corleone’s famous line from the film. That phrase, too, is being phased out.

The change means redoing everything from the restaurant’s website to its menus and awning, a costly process for the small business.

“The logo has to change on the menus, the website, the restaurant,” D’Amico said on the radio.

“But we do get to keep the name.”

Local officials have rallied to D’Amico’s defense.

“This is a family-owned business,” Monroe Township Councilman Charlie DiPierro told WABC-TV.

“They’re all hard-working people that help our community.”

Customers have taken the news personally.

“He’s not making money off the font,” loyal patron Pete Tufano told WABC.

“He’s making money off the pizza. He’s not making movies. I don’t see the conflict, but the law is the law, and Max is a stand-up guy, so he’ll change the emblems and comply with whatever they’re asking.”

The Post has sought comment from Paramount Pictures.

MONROE TOWNSHIP, New Jersey (WABC) -- The production company behind the critically acclaimed movie "The Godfather," is demanding a local pizzeria in New Jersey, named "The Doughfather," change its logo due to its resemblance to the film's logo.

The owner of the pizzeria, Max D'Amico, says he received a letter this week from Paramount Pictures telling him to make the change.

If D'Amico wasn't asked to slice away part of his pizza shop's logo, he would have been ecstatic to keep it.

"It's one of the greatest movies ever made," D'Amico said.

When he decided to open a pizza shop a few years back, he dedicated its theme to his favorite movie of all time: "The Godfather."

"I was 7 years old watching it with the family," D'Amico said. "Being an immigrant family, we were all watching it. It was fun. It was a great movie. I'll never forget it. It was a snowy day, we sat there for six hours."

The problem is, his logo is strikingly similar to the movie's logo, and Paramount owns that, and someone ratted D'Amico out.

So, the entertainment company sent him an email telling him to stop using the logo, which is on everything in the pizzeria.

"This is a family-owned business. They're all hard working people that help our community," said Councilman Charlie DiPierro of Monroe Township.

His friends aren't too happy about any of this, especially his buddy who restores magnificent rides, and the one who has a striking resemblance to actor Billy Bob Thornton.

"The staff... they work hard for all of us... and it's unfortunate what's happening," DiPierro said.

"I mean he's not making money off the font. He's not making money off the marionette hands. He's making money off the pizza. He's not making movies," said Pete Tufano, D'Amico's friend and loyal customer. "I don't see the conflict, but the law is the law, and Max is a stand up guy, so he'll change the emblems and comply with whatever they're asking."
