Many Americans suffer from chronic neck and back pain - according to research, half of Americans over 18 develop musculoskeletal injuries that last longer than a year. These injuries often cause a range of mobility issues that make everyday tasks seem hard to do. The DRX9000: Relief from Chronic Back and Neck Pain

Are you sick of living day-to-day with long-lasting neck or back pain? Have you searched high and low for a safe and effective alternative to surgery? The DRX9000 may be the answer you're looking for.

Beloved by high-level athletes and even celebrities, this advanced medical device employs non-surgical spinal decompression therapy to treat painful conditions such as:

  • Bulging Discs
  • Herniated Discs
  • Spinal Stenosis
  • Facet Syndrome
  • Sciatica
  • Arm Pain from Nerves in Your Neck

The DRX9000 is a device that has been approved by the FDA for treating herniated discs through spinal decompression therapy. This therapy works by applying equal amounts of pressure on your vertebral columns, which stretches your spine and creates a gap between spinal discs. This gap allows for better nutrient flow through your spine, which can help heal injuries gradually with regular treatment sessions. The DRX9000 also utilizes servo motors that rely on nested closed-loop feedback to customize therapy to your unique needs. By using DRX9000, you can often speed up your recovery by addressing your spinal disc issues ASAP.

No Harmful Medications Needed (Do we really need this paragraph or could we just mention it int he beginning about how it is a non-pharmaceutical method)

Perhaps the most significant advantage of the DRX9000 is that it provides a non-pharmaceutical method for relieving pain. With the opioid epidemic affecting the entire nation, many patients are reluctant to take prescription painkillers. The DRX9000 offers a secure and non-addictive alternative for pain relief that does not require medication.

During the course of the treatment, the patient will lie down on a specially designed table that is connected to the machine. The table will then be gently stretched as the machine creates negative pressure within the affected disc. This process will be repeated over a series of sessions, typically ranging from 20 to 30 sessions, depending on the patient's specific condition.

The DRX9000 treatment is considered to be safe and effective for many patients. It is designed to be gentle on the body, and patients usually experience little to no discomfort during their sessions. The machine is also equipped with advanced safety features, including sensors that can detect any sudden movements and stop the machine if necessary.

Experience Optimized Healing with LiteCureâ„¢ Low-Level Laser Therapy

After reading the headline above, you might be asking yourself, "Are lasers really used for physical therapy in cityname, state?" The answer to your question would be a resounding "Yes!" This advanced type of laser therapy harnesses the power of light through photobiomodulation (PBM), which is revolutionizing how patients heal and deal with pain.

Photobiomodulation (PBM) is a medical process that utilizes targeted light to activate the body's natural healing mechanisms. By penetrating deep into the tissue, photons interact with mitochondria (the cellular powerhouses in your body) to increase energy production. This interaction triggers a biological cascade that leads to increased cellular metabolism. As a result, PBM can reduce pain, accelerate tissue repair, and enhance overall well-being.

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) is a non-invasive and painless treatment that utilizes specific wavelengths of light to stimulate healing and reduce pain. It works by penetrating the skin and tissues to promote cellular activity and increase blood flow, which in turn helps to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and accelerate the healing process.

LLLT has been shown to be effective for a variety of conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries, arthritis, neuropathy, and more. It is a safe and gentle treatment option that can aid in regaining function and mobility from injuries, accidents, surgeries, and other conditions. That makes it a viable and trustworthy addition to your personalized physical therapy plan from NJ Sports Spine & Wellness.

LLLT has shown promising results for challenging conditions that other treatments can't match. Some of the most common conditions treated include:

Game Ready Ice Compression Therapy is an advanced treatment technique that combines the advantages of modern cryotherapy (ice therapy) with the proven benefits of compression therapy. Game Ready Ice Compression Therapy is an advanced treatment technique that combines the advantages of modern cryotherapy (ice therapy) with the proven benefits of compression therapy. This clinically proven, synergistic approach is widely used in sports medicine, physical therapy, orthopedics, and post-operative care to speed up recovery, alleviate pain and inflammation, and enhance rehabilitation.

The "cold" component of ice compression therapy helps nullify nerve-ending sensitivity, which provides pain relief. The extra compression gives you even more pain relief by reducing swelling and pressure on limbs and other body parts.

By improving lymphatic flow and enhancing blood circulation, compression therapy can help reduce swelling and edema, thereby improving your recovery process and simultaneously reducing pain and discomfort.

The concurrent use of cryotherapy and compression can enhance the body's innate healing mechanisms by reducing inflammation, mitigating tissue damage, and stimulating tissue repair.

Game Ready's combination therapy has been shown to be effective in improving joint flexibility and range of motion by promoting tissue healing. This treatment can be a great option for those looking to alleviate discomfort and improve overall joint health.

On Tuesday, Metuchen officials and YESTERcades announced that the retro arcade’s fourth Garden State location would be located in downtown Metuchen.

YESTERcades, which features more than 100 arcade and pinball machines, gaming stations, billiards and more, will take over the former Manasquan Bank location in the heart of the Brainy Borough – adjacent to the public park that was donated by the financial institution that opened up a brand-new location nearby on Main Street. The retro arcade currently has locations in Somerville, Red Bank and Westfield.

“We are excited to expand our family-friendly, community-driven business to a town like Metuchen that shares our core values and beliefs,” said YESTERcades “Chief Fun Officer’ Fred Logue. “We cannot wait to bring our unique brand of entertainment to everyone in early 2024.”

The announcement marks continued momentum for Metuchen and its Main Street/downtown area, which, as NJBIZ extensively reported on, was named a Great American Main Street Award winner this past spring.

The effort to bring YESTERcades to Metuchen was spearheaded by Metuchen Downtown Alliance (MDA) Executive Director Dawn Mackey, who felt an experiential venue was needed to supplement the town’s already robust restaurant and retail mix.

“It’s not enough to be a town of great places to eat, you need places for residents and visitors to enjoy interactive activity,” Mackey explained.

She collaborated with township officials to help facilitate changes to dated restrictions that were a barrier to such potential business endeavors.

“Our Main Street is filled with the type of independently owned businesses you would expect to find in any thriving downtown. The local pub, an ice cream shop, and pizzerias, to name a few,” said Jason Delia, council president and liaison to the MDA, who was instrumental in this effort. “A tattoo parlor, unique gift stores, upscale dining, and now a public park and arcade in the heart of the downtown. When Dawn approached the Borough with her desire to add experiential businesses to the mix, our first step was ensuring that our ordinances were refreshed and reflective of the town we have become and strive to be – a local destination in the heart of Central Jersey. The collaboration and partnership on this project is a testament to what makes our Borough so special.”

“We are so excited to welcome YESTERcades to our Downtown Metuchen community. They’re a great addition to our business community,” said Bobbie Theivakumaran, MDA chair. “Winning the Great American Main Street Award in March was a validation of the incredible work done in collaboration between the Borough, the MDA, and its many volunteers, and all of that has led to Metuchen being able to court and attract a premier brand like YESTERcades. We look forward to all the opportunities and joy this will bring the community.”

The property is being developed by Rory Josell, a lifelong Metuchen resident, who says it is so gratifying to contribute to her own community through this project.

“My family, along with partners the Rosamilias, share a profound commitment to enhancing our downtown through acquiring, improving, and managing properties throughout the town,” said Josell. “We are thrilled to have worked with the mayor and council, the Borough, and the MDA to bring this collaboration to fruition.”

Mayor Jonathan Busch said that as someone who spent a lot of time in arcades growing up, the opportunity to welcome YESTERcades to Metuchen was like something out of a dream.

“As mayor, your hope is to cultivate a thriving downtown where residents want to spend their time and people from outside the Borough want to visit,” said Busch. “YESTERcades is that special business that will help achieve that goal.”

EDISON, NJ — Edison Township Public Schools and Metuchen School District maintained their high grades in the latest school rankings released this week, according to Niche’s 2024 Best Schools and Districts.

According to the latest ranking, Edison Schools ranked 2nd in Middlesex County at rank 1 and was placed 31st in the state, while Metuchen was ranked 4th in the county and 44th in NJ.

These rankings and grades, published annually for the past nine years, compare schools and districts across the United States by combining feedback from parents and students with hard data on schools, teachers, and student performance.

EDISON

Edison School District, which serves about 16,268 students, has an overall "A" grade from Niche.

Here's how they were graded on various metrics:

The lowest grades the district received were in food, resources and facilities. Edison has launched a $100 million project to address the overcrowding in the school district. The project includes adding a classroom to J.P Stevens High School, a gym addition to Herbert Hoover Gym, Woodrow Wilson, Thomas Jefferson, a new auditorium to Edison High School and more.

The district also ranked 23rd in NJ for having the best teachers.

The average graduation rate in the school district is 94 percent, with 64 percent of students proficient in reading and 44 percent in math, according to Niche.

The average teacher's salary in the district is $84,238 and the student-teacher ratio is 15:1.

METUCHEN

Metuchen School District has an overall "A" grade from Niche. The district serves about 2,276 students.

Here's how they were graded:

The average graduation rate in the school district is 95 percent, with 65 percent of students proficient in reading and 44 percent in math, according to Niche.

The average teacher's salary in the district is $71,347 and the student-teacher ratio is 15:1.

The rankings differ from others that rely almost exclusively on test scores and academic performance in that it also includes input from students, alumni and parents, as well as quantitative data from sources such as the U.S. Department of Education to evaluate teachers, resources and facilities.

Klein Enterprises, a vertically integrated investor, developer, and operator of diversified real estate holdings, announced its plans to develop a multifamily apartment community in Middlesex County, New Jersey.

Located at 212 Durham Avenue in the Borough of Metuchen, the yet-to-be-named community is situated on a former industrial site that has undergone significant environmental remediation over the past several years in preparation for the new multifamily development. Demolition of the existing structures on the site took place in April of 2023 and construction of the property will take approximately 24 months with completion anticipated for Fall 2025.

The community will offer a total of 272 Class A studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units, 15 percent of which will meet state affordable housing requirements, as well as six unique one-bedroom live /work homes. Located on the ground level of the community, these six homes offer residents their own office space that can be accessed via the home directly as well as a separate, private entrance for work purposes.

The interior design of the community will focus on a “Modern Artistry” concept in honor of the artists, literary figures and noted intellectuals who brought culture and the arts to Metuchen in the late 1800s. The design will feature modern elements grounded by warm woods and black accents while incorporating photography, music and classic printing techniques.

Klein will pursue various green initiatives within the building and plans to achieve National Green Building Standards (NGBS) through features like a partial green roof, a large solar array, electric car charging stations, Energy Star appliances, low-flow fixtures, LED lighting, a pollinator garden, and more. Additional community amenities include a community garden, dog park, and pool.

“Over the past few years, we’ve worked closely with both Mayor Jonathan M. Busch’s team as well as Middlesex County officials to establish a redevelopment plan that meets two primary objectives,” said Daniel Klein, president of Klein Enterprises. “The first was to preserve a portion of the property as the gateway to a new county nature preserve and the second was to redevelop the balance of property with a state-of-the-art residential building that fits the character of the community and incorporates green building elements. Collectively, we believe that we have not only met but exceeded these objectives.”

After the land was contributed into the partnership by Metuchen Realty Advisors (MRA), Klein and MRA worked closely with the Borough Council to execute a redevelopment agreement and qualify for a 30-year PILOT (payment in lieu of taxes) agreement, which will jointly benefit the project by tying tax obligations to project revenue while providing the Borough of Metuchen with the flexibility to invest revenue back into the borough where it is needed most.

This project will allow Metuchen to invest millions of dollars in major infrastructure projects throughout the Borough, promote environmental cleanup, and preserve approximately 20 acres of wetlands which will be part of the Borough’s open space and recreation assets. The planned improvements include a network of trails, hiker/biker paths, and open space for public enjoyment, and will also provide access and parking facilities for a new county nature preserve. The project is adjacent to the planned expansion of the highly popular Middlesex County Greenway linear park.

“The Borough of Metuchen has been discussing possibilities for this site for decades and now the transformation has begun,” said Mayor of Metuchen Jonathan M. Busch. “It is this very project that’s enabling us to open the largest recreational space in Metuchen, fund a variety of important infrastructure projects throughout the Borough, and help protect our environment, all while providing our community with new housing options that will give many people the freedom to stay in the very community where they grew up and open doors for new neighbors. We are particularly grateful to have partners in Metuchen Realty Advisors and Klein Enterprises. This is an example of a public-private partnership that will be a true benefit to our community.”

Sean Garland, chief investment officer of Klein Enterprises shared, “Along with providing best-in-class housing to residents, the redevelopment plan and PILOT program provide us with the flexibility to completely transform a dilapidated site that will increase surrounding property value, pump revenue directly into the Metuchen community, and allow our company to expand our presence in the northern New Jersey market. This project is a testament to the overall value created when private developers work collaboratively with local governments to create spaces that benefit the overall community.”

The multifamily project is also located in close proximity to the Metuchen NJ TRANSIT stop which offers a 45-minute train to Midtown in New York City, and walking distance to the Borough’s historic and vibrant downtown that recently received the 2023 “Great American Main Street Award.”
