Not only is the staff incredible, the facility is new and cleanly. I’d like to tell you about my experience. I had hurt my shoulder lifting. It was an overuse injury. I went to NJ Sports Spine and wellness in tears. I was in so much pain I could not bear it. They brought me in a private room with the head Chiropractor Tony Ambrogio and Elisa, an amazing OT. I told them what was going on, they immediately started treating and working on me. Tony carefully adjusted me and Elisa performed OT with deep tissue massage in the area. They also used a laser that penetrates deeply into the muscle to accelerate healing. I was required to attend physical therapy three times a week for four+ weeks. I will admit, hearing that was not ideal. However, as I continue going, feeling a difference in my pain, and gradually healing, I started to really enjoy it. Not only have they worked on my posture, they have strengthen the muscles around the affected area to relieve the strain and pain. The first week attending, I performed a strength test, about a month and a half later, I repeated the test and have increased my strength in all areas of my upper back and neck area. It has been about two months since I started going, and I can say I am currently pain-free. With the adjustments, the occupational therapy, and the physical therapy, I can say I am healed. Going forward, I am going to continue the exercises and stretches they have shown me to make sure that this never happens again. I have also been able to include certain exercises in my personal workouts that I previously needed to avoid that would have aggravated my neck and upper back. Overall, my experience has been wonderful. Like I said, the staff is absolutely wonderful! Everyone is so nice, caring, and I can see them all go above and beyond for every patient. Even when I was sick with the flu, I received a phone call from my chiropractor Tony and my OT Elisa to check in on me. I can’t think of any other business that cares as much about their patients as NJSSW. Both Tony and Elisa are so easy to talk to, they always make me feel comfortable and well taken care of. On a side note, I have had to bring my three-year-old toddler with me on a few occasions. They were very accommodating, they offered and provided a private room. Elisa even played with my son in between her clients in order for me to perform my exercises without a distraction. The team there goes above and beyond. Even staff that I have not personally worked with greet me by name and assist as needed. The front desk staff is always friendly and very accommodating with booking appointments and rescheduling if need be.

Let's start at the beginning. The parking lot always has spots available, even on the busiest days at the busiest times. The pavement is smooth and the parking spots are clearly marked... As you enter the Matawan location, you are greeted with a finely manicured carpet displaying the facility's logo. To the right are a set of glistening glass double doors that welcome you into the immaculate waiting room. Once inside, you could be lucky enough to encounter Ang, Amanda, or one of the many other ladies that inhabit the area behind the front desk. They will always welcome you with a smile, eagerly print out your receipt, or discuss the song verses that adorn their arms in case they ever forget the words. If you have to wait a few minutes for your treatment, you can treat yourself to reading the biography of many of the employees on the complimentary television screen. Once into the treatment area, you will be instantly whisked away to the exercise area where a host of professionals will guide you through your journey of rehabilitation. No matter who you get, you will be in good hands. Hopefully you’ll be lucky enough to have Liam working the music. His playlist is second to none. Personally, my Occupational Therapists are Katelynn Bissett and Alyssa Bark. Two of the best in my opinion. I can't leave out Lindsey who I see once a week and has been terrific. 3 bulging discs and severe shoulder pain are things of the past thanks to these ladies. Okay, that's all I've got. HAZLET, NJ – Katelyn Ruta pitched 6 ⅔ innings of shutout relief and Raritan's softball team defeated Manalapan, 5-2, on Thursday.

Ruta came on in the first inning and shut out Manalapan the rest of the way, with eight strikeouts and one walk. She scattered five hits.

Janelle Clausi went 2-for-3 with two runs batted in and a run scored for Raritan (6-0), which took the lead for good with three runs in the third inning.

Brielle Brosonski had a run-scoring single for the Rockets.

HOLMDEL, NJ – Holmdel scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to rally for a 3-2 baseball victory over Raritan on Tuesday.

Dylan Zammit pitched a complete-game four-hitter for the Hornets (1-1), striking out 10 and walking two batters.

Will Meehan, who started for Raritan (0-1), pitched five no-hit innings with nine strikeouts and three walks, but he was removed after 81 pitches and was not involved in the decision.

Kyle Silberman had a hit and an RBI and Matt Iulo doubled and scored a run for Holmdel. Travis Evernham hit a two-run double for Raritan.

KEYPORT, NJ -- The Keyport baseball team will open its season on Monday, March 31 at home against Perth Amboy Magnet.

The return of eight players from last year's team, as well as the return of two players formerly in the program who did not play in 2024, give head coach Kyle Keelen hope of improving on last season's 7-13 record.

Of the eight players back from last year's varsity, only one of them, designated hitter/first baseman Liam Kilian, is a senior. That's an indication of just how young the Red Raiders were in 2024. Kilian drove in 10 runs in just 35 official at-bats a year ago.

Junior Ryan Byrne will bat leadoff and either play the infield or pitch. Byrne batted .400 with 17 runs scored and seven extra-base hits last season. He pitched 8 1/3 innings as a sophomore.

Junior Jacob Pinto, who also pitches and plays the infield, hit .419 with 10 RBI and threw 7 1/3 innings.

The ace of the pitching staff heading into this season appears to be sophomore Paxton Douglass, who had a solid freshman campaign with 32 strikeouts and a 3.33 earned-run average in 27 1/3 innings. Douglass also batted .309 and tied for the team lead in RBI with 13.

Junior Daniel Metrick, who can play both the infield and the outfield, was the other Red Raider to knock in 13 runs last year. He batted .324 with 14 runs scored.

"Our lineup brings back key contributors in multiple positions, and we expect our pitching staff to take a step forward," Keelen said.

Keelen is glad to have the sure glove of junior Tristan Knoblauch returning to the outfield. He was also second on the team in runs scored with 17.

Junior Evin Johnson will do the bulk of the catching for Keyport, and junior Casey McCarthy may take over as the Red Raiders' first baseman.

Junior outfielder Justin Visaggio and senior utilityman Derek Ferm are both back in the fold after not playing in 2024. Their presence will add to the Red Raiders' depth, along with five newcomers to the varsity: Gabriel Carbone (Soph., OF), Darius Finley (Fr., INF), Robert Greenberg (Fr., INF), Matthew Halvorsen (Fr., INF) and Aedan Nagy (Fr., INF/OF).

"With a strong returning junior class leading the team, we are looking to build on last season’s development," Keelen said. "The focus will be on playing competitive baseball, improving consistency, and continuing to grow as a program. With leadership from our returning players and contributions from younger talent, we are optimistic about making strides this season."
