If there's one universal truth in life, it's that it can be unpredictable. Everyone experiences unexpected events that throw us off. While some surprises may only affect our bank accounts, such as home expenses, others can cause physical harm, such as car accidents that result in long-term pain and discomfort. Many Americans suffer from chronic neck and back pain - according to research, half of Americans over 18 develop musculoskeletal injuries that last longer than a year. These injuries often cause a range of mobility issues that make everyday tasks seem hard to do. Unfortunately, many people with chronic pain turn to addictive medications and invasive surgeries for relief, which tends to lead to further complications.
However, if you are experiencing chronic pain or mobility issues, there's good news: Safer and more effective options are available to you. Physical therapy in Iselin, NJ is one of the best solutions for eradicating pain, maximizing mobility, improving range of motion, building muscle strength, and helping you regain control of your body. Physical therapy can provide numerous benefits, such as pain reduction, enhanced joint and body movement, improved range of motion, proper alignment, and more. While the main goal of physical therapy is to restore function and facilitate a return to regular activities, these outcomes usually result from a broader rehabilitation process, wherein many patients learn a brand-new way of moving.
At NJ Sports Spine & Wellness, our physical therapists work closely with patients to understand their unique goals, preferences, and abilities. Based on their findings, they create a customized treatment plan that caters to the patient's specific needs.

Are you sick of living day-to-day with long-lasting neck or back pain? Have you searched high and low for a safe and effective alternative to surgery? The DRX9000 may be the answer you're looking for.
Beloved by high-level athletes and even celebrities, this advanced medical device employs non-surgical spinal decompression therapy to treat painful conditions such as:
The DRX9000 is a device that has been approved by the FDA for treating herniated discs through spinal decompression therapy. This therapy works by applying equal amounts of pressure on your vertebral columns, which stretches your spine and creates a gap between spinal discs. This gap allows for better nutrient flow through your spine, which can help heal injuries gradually with regular treatment sessions. The DRX9000 also utilizes servo motors that rely on nested closed-loop feedback to customize therapy to your unique needs. By using DRX9000, you can often speed up your recovery by addressing your spinal disc issues ASAP.
No Harmful Medications Needed (Do we really need this paragraph or could we just mention it int he beginning about how it is a non-pharmaceutical method)
Perhaps the most significant advantage of the DRX9000 is that it provides a non-pharmaceutical method for relieving pain. With the opioid epidemic affecting the entire nation, many patients are reluctant to take prescription painkillers. The DRX9000 offers a secure and non-addictive alternative for pain relief that does not require medication.
During the course of the treatment, the patient will lie down on a specially designed table that is connected to the machine. The table will then be gently stretched as the machine creates negative pressure within the affected disc. This process will be repeated over a series of sessions, typically ranging from 20 to 30 sessions, depending on the patient's specific condition.
The DRX9000 treatment is considered to be safe and effective for many patients. It is designed to be gentle on the body, and patients usually experience little to no discomfort during their sessions. The machine is also equipped with advanced safety features, including sensors that can detect any sudden movements and stop the machine if necessary.
The AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill boasts NASA Differential Air Pressure (DAP) technology, which is a highly accurate air calibration system that leverages your actual body weight to achieve exceptional results in rehab and training. By utilizing a pressurized air chamber, the AlterG allows you to move freely and without pain, as it uniformly reduces gravitational load and body weight by up to 80% in precise 1% increments. This process helps foster improved muscle strength, balance, function, range of motion, and overall fitness.
AlterG®'s state-of-the-art treadmill provides an entire range of benefits, such as mimicking natural movement and rhythm without the contrived feel of hydrotherapy or harnesses attempting to imitate real-life strides and motions. Additionally, it's beneficial for speeding up recuperation after orthopedic injuries or surgeries by enabling early mobilization and retaining strength. Furthermore, it's excellent for sports recovery since athletes can utilize it to maintain their physical fitness.
Some of the numerous benefits of using the AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill include:
The AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill is a revolutionary piece of equipment that has transformed the field of physical therapy. With its list of unique features and superhero-worthy benefits, this anti-gravity treadmill is a game-changer that can help you achieve your fitness and recovery goals while also minimizing the risk of injury.
After reading the headline above, you might be asking yourself, "Are lasers really used for physical therapy in cityname, state?" The answer to your question would be a resounding "Yes!" This advanced type of laser therapy harnesses the power of light through photobiomodulation (PBM), which is revolutionizing how patients heal and deal with pain.
Photobiomodulation (PBM) is a medical process that utilizes targeted light to activate the body's natural healing mechanisms. By penetrating deep into the tissue, photons interact with mitochondria (the cellular powerhouses in your body) to increase energy production. This interaction triggers a biological cascade that leads to increased cellular metabolism. As a result, PBM can reduce pain, accelerate tissue repair, and enhance overall well-being.
Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) is a non-invasive and painless treatment that utilizes specific wavelengths of light to stimulate healing and reduce pain. It works by penetrating the skin and tissues to promote cellular activity and increase blood flow, which in turn helps to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and accelerate the healing process.
LLLT has been shown to be effective for a variety of conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries, arthritis, neuropathy, and more. It is a safe and gentle treatment option that can aid in regaining function and mobility from injuries, accidents, surgeries, and other conditions. That makes it a viable and trustworthy addition to your personalized physical therapy plan from NJ Sports Spine & Wellness.
LLLT has shown promising results for challenging conditions that other treatments can't match. Some of the most common conditions treated include:
If you're slogging through life and suffering from one or more of the conditions above, you should know that there is hope for pain relief. Contact NJ Sports Spine & Wellness today to find out if low-level laser therapy is right for you.
Game Ready Ice Compression Therapy is an advanced treatment technique that combines the advantages of modern cryotherapy (ice therapy) with the proven benefits of compression therapy. This clinically proven, synergistic approach is widely used in sports medicine, physical therapy, orthopedics, and post-operative care to speed up recovery, alleviate pain and inflammation, and enhance rehabilitation.
Understanding the Powerful Benefits of Ice Compression Therapy
Game Ready Ice Compression Therapy is an advanced treatment technique that combines the advantages of modern cryotherapy (ice therapy) with the proven benefits of compression therapy. This clinically proven, synergistic approach is widely used in sports medicine, physical therapy, orthopedics, and post-operative care to speed up recovery, alleviate pain and inflammation, and enhance rehabilitation.
The "cold" component of ice compression therapy helps nullify nerve-ending sensitivity, which provides pain relief. The extra compression gives you even more pain relief by reducing swelling and pressure on limbs and other body parts.
By improving lymphatic flow and enhancing blood circulation, compression therapy can help reduce swelling and edema, thereby improving your recovery process and simultaneously reducing pain and discomfort.
The concurrent use of cryotherapy and compression can enhance the body's innate healing mechanisms by reducing inflammation, mitigating tissue damage, and stimulating tissue repair.
Game Ready's combination therapy has been shown to be effective in improving joint flexibility and range of motion by promoting tissue healing. This treatment can be a great option for those looking to alleviate discomfort and improve overall joint health.
Whether you're recovering from surgery or you're trying to manage chronic pain in your back or joints, ice compression therapy may be the advanced treatment you need. Contact NJSSW today to learn more about how this treatment can help you live an active life free of pain.

Our skilled practitioners and physical therapists use modern cupping devices and techniques to create consistent suction on the skin, which stimulates blood flow and encourages oxygen-rich blood to flow into muscles and tissues. This improved circulation can reduce inflammation, remove toxins, and promote healing.
Cupping therapy can relieve back pain by improving circulation, reducing muscle tension, and increasing lymphatic drainage. It's a natural and non-invasive approach that can improve mobility and quality of life.

ISELIN, NJ -- Sophomore right-hander Ryan Leach allowed just one hit after the first inning and Woodbridge rallied with four runs in the top of the seventh inning for a 4-2 baseball victory over JFK of Iselin on Thursday.
Leach finished with a three-hitter. The Mustangs scored both of their runs against him in the first inning, and JFK right-hander R.J. Coleman made that 2-0 lead stand up for six innings before Woodbridge (14-5) broke through against him in its last turn at bat.
Jeremy Ricourt, who is batting over .500, led off the bottom of the first with a triple. Justin Rodriguez was hit by a pitch with one out, and he stole second. Cleanup hitter Donovan Claiborne followed with an opposite-field two-run double into the left-field corner.

Leach got the next two batters with a called strike three and a flyout, and he just kept getting better from there.
He finished with seven strikeouts and four walks. Five of those seven strikeouts came on curves.
“When I start, I usually save myself so that I have the stuff in reserve for when I really need it,” Leach said. “My fastball was on, and with the curve, my go-to spot is usually on the outside corner.”
Both Leach and Coleman, who struck out six but walked seven, both had to deal with a strike zone that was on the tight side on Thursday.
“The two balls they (JFK) hit for extra-base hits in the first inning, I thought maybe our outfielders could have made those plays, but after that, Ryan was great,” Woodbridge coach Mike Monaco said. “Ryan has great stuff, and he’s only a sophomore. He has cut down his walks exponentially in his last few starts, and that’s allowed us to keep him in games for longer. Even his four walks, those were competitive pitches. He was around the zone.”
Through six innings, Coleman, throwing a slider with a tight rotation, was working on a three-hitter of his own for the Mustangs (10-9). Woodbridge’s No. 8 hitter, Rob Bunten, started the seventh by drawing a four-pitch walk. No. 9 hitter Dean Fiore followed with a double to deep left, sending Bunten to third and turning the Barrons’ lineup over.
“In the middle of the game I challenged those guys at the bottom of the order to give us more competitive at bats so we could flip it over to the top of the order,” Monaco said. “Fiore hadn’t had a good day until that point, but he hit the ball in the gap (in the seventh) when we needed it.”
A.J. Bosch was up next and jumped on a first-pitch slider and grounded it through the middle for a two-run single to tie the game. Bosch’s father, Alex, was an All-State catcher on that very same field when he played at JFK High School for coach Jerry Smith Sr. in the 1990s.
Tyler Weber singled to center, Ty Kobylakiewicz drew a walk to load the bases, and Drew Lukachyk was hit by a pitch to force in a run. Shawn Kish capped the rally against freshman reliever Myles Ulaky with an RBI single to left—his second hit of the day--before Ulaky got a grounder for a 6-2 force at the plate, and then the Mustangs escaped further trouble when center fielder Gabriel Perez caught Tim Deignan’s fly and then Perez threw a perfect strike to home plate as catcher Braden Mellage applied the tag on Lukachyk for the third out.
The Mustangs definitely brought their “A” game defensively, as third baseman Kevin Portoreal turned in two fielding gems and first baseman Claiborne also made a fine play in the field.

JLL on Monday said it was named the exclusive leasing agent for the Class A office building at 170 Wood Ave., a fully vacant, 239,452-square-foot, eight-story property in the Metropark corporate campus in Iselin.
170 Wood Ave. is the only Class A building in the Metropark submarket with space available greater than 100,000 square feet. Developed in 2003, the headquarters-quality trophy asset was designed by the Hillier Group and constructed by the Siemens Corp. to be part of its New Jersey campus. In 2012, Siemens executed a 10-year sale leaseback for the building with Boston-based TA Associates Realty. Siemens subsequently vacated at the end of its lease term. An affiliate of Argent Ventures acquired the asset at year-end 2023.
Founded in 1997, Argent Ventures is a real estate investment and development firm headquartered in New York City that specializes in opportunistic, value-add and core-plus transactions throughout the U.S. The new owner has retained international design firm Ware Malcomb to outline potential upgrades to the common areas and amenity spaces while it invites interest in 170 Wood Ave.
“170 Wood Ave. is a distinctive Class A property located within New Jersey’s most centrally located corporate campus,” Joseph Chehova, Argent’s acquisitions & asset management team member said. “Built to the exacting specifications of a global conglomerate, it features exceptional construction and highly efficient design that can be customized to meet a variety of needs. We are excited to partner with JLL to reintroduce the property in a prime submarket that continues to appeal to globally recognized tenants.”
JLL Senior Managing Director John Buckley and associate Alex Crane are leading the marketing campaign for 170 Wood Ave., which features efficient, 30,000-square-foot floor plates, 9-foot finished ceiling heights and a robust amenities package that includes a cafeteria, conference and training facilities, 24/7 security, four-level parking garage and common outdoor space.
According to Buckley, the building offers a blank canvas for corporate users seeking a large headquarters presence in a prime location, or it could be converted to meet the needs of the life science, medtech and biomanufacturing sectors that dominate the New Jersey market.
“Argent Ventures has embraced the first-mover advantage to purchase a best-in-class office asset in a prime corporate corridor where multiple new development initiatives are driving economic growth and world class transportation,” Buckley said. “As the only Class A building in the submarket with space available greater than 100,000 square feet, we anticipate a great deal of interest from companies seeking superior workspace in a prime location populated by a highly skilled workforce.”
Part of a roughly 19-acre site that once housed thousands of Siemens Corp. workers, Metropark has been revitalized as multitenant campus with a roster of high-profile and Fortune 500 tenants that includes IBM, Microsoft, EY, Wells Fargo and BASF. The county is also home to Hackensack Meridian Health-JFK Medical Center and the academic medical center, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
The campus is situated 30 minutes from New York City and 20 minutes from Newark Liberty International Airport, offers direct access to the Garden State Parkway and is minutes from routes 1 and 9, Interstate 287 and the New Jersey Turnpike.
A LEED Gold certified property with Energy Star Certification, 170 Wood Ave. is steps from the Metropark Train Station and direct links to New York City, Philadelphia, Boston and Washington, D.C. The state of New Jersey recently approved a plan for a transit-oriented development on an unused 12-acre parking lot at the station that will include some 250 apartments, 250,000 square feet of office space, ground floor retail as well as bicycle, pedestrian and infrastructure upgrades.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Owners of two Iselin jewelry store, and their parent company, reached a settlement deal with federal authorities, admitting their failure to pay $400,000 in customs duties on imported gold, according to U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger.
Iqbal Virani and his son, Aqib Virani, owners of Virani Jewelers and 21st Millennium Inc., agreed to pay $1 million in penalties and restitution to U.S. Customs for “undervaluing” $401,852 worth of imported gold jewelry, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for New Jersey said in a prepared statement.
The Virianis, “who own or control the business(es) admitted they evaded United States customs duties on gold jewelry imported into the United States” between Jan. 1, 2017 and March 31, 2020. Their company, 21st Millennium, was the importer of more than 80 customs entries, consisting of jewelry manufactured in foreign countries, Sellinger’s statement said.

“By undervaluing the merchandise, 21st Millennium evaded paying $401,852 in customs duties that should have been paid” to U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection, the statement said.
According to their website, lqbal Virani began Virani Jewelers in 1987, now with stores on Marconi Avenue and Oak Tree Road, both in Iselin. The website refers to the Viranis as “renowned pioneers,” who introduced 22K South Indian jewelry to the United States market, and as “connoisseurs of fine jewelry.”
Assistant U.S. Attorney David V. Simunovich, based in Newark, handled the federal government’s case. The Viranis were represented by Hackensack attorney James Plaisted and Manhattan attorney Robert Silverman.
Sellinger credited special agents with the U.S Department of Homeland Security and New York’s Homeland Security Investigation unit, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Ivan J. Arvelo, for heading the probe leading to the settlement.
Virani Jewelers made news in June 2022 when eight armed robbers burst into their Oak Tree Road store just before closing, terrorized employees, smashed display cases, and made off with thousands of dollars in valuable jewelry, watches and other merchandise.
In September 2023, federal authorities indicted 16 suspects, from a Washington DC-based robbery ring for allegedly pulling off that heist and several others, targeting Indian-owned businesses on the East Coast.

SJP Project Solutions — SJP Properties’ third-party development management arm — has successfully completed the transformative build-out of pharmaceutical company Helsinn’s specialized workspace at SJP Properties’ 200 Wood Avenue South in Iselin, New Jersey. The global biopharmaceutical company now occupies 25,000 square feet at the office campus and joins Siemens, a multinational technology company; a national insurance carrier, international transport company DSV and the globally ranked financial services company Credit Agricole, all of which have established offices at 200 Wood Avenue South since SJP acquired the building in early 2020.
Helsinn, a fully-integrated global biopharmaceutical company focused on oncology and rare diseases, relocated from 170 Wood Avenue South, and was drawn to the property’s accessibility to skilled labor across the state of New Jersey, as well as its on-site amenities and ample green space. The company selected SJP Project Solutions to execute a full build-out of the company’s first-floor office, which included conference and meeting facilities, a training room, open collaboration areas, a wellness room and a private outdoor terrace. Helsinn was represented in the lease transaction by Jim Postell at Colliers International. Wes Moore of CBRE represented SJP.
“In spite of economic headwinds faced by many industries, New Jersey’s life sciences sector continues to evolve and thrive at an incredible rate,” says Alexander Erdos, Senior Vice President – Leasing & Marketing at SJP Properties. “Not only is SJP able to offer these companies resilient workplace environments, but we are able to deliver built-to-suit spaces tailored to address unique tenant needs. The future growth of the state’s life sciences sector is dependent upon the ability of these companies to tap into the highly educated labor pool within surrounding markets. SJP’s presence in New Jersey continues to facilitate this connection and compel more top-tier companies to establish footprints in transit-oriented suburbs like Iselin.”
Optimally positioned near public transit in Iselin’s Metropark submarket, the 200 Wood Avenue South campus offers modern, purpose-built workspaces and an array of on-site lifestyle amenities. Upon acquisition of the property, SJP executed a comprehensive strategy to reposition it, paying homage to its postmodernist architecture with a complete interior and exterior renovation. It also outfitted the property with new building systems and indoor/outdoor lifestyle amenities — a brand new lobby, state-of-the-art fitness center, collaborative common areas, including landscaped outdoor meeting areas, nationally recognized food operators within the on-site dining area and ample on-site parking. SJP is also providing its signature hospitality and concierge services as part of its property management offering. Additionally, some of the building’s new systems include air filtration upgrades for improved air quality to create a healthier environment for employees.
Spanning 270,000 square feet, 200 Wood Avenue South has the ability to attract New Jersey’s top talent where the labor markets converge and is optimally positioned within walking distance to the Metropark Train Station, which offers NJ TRANSIT and Amtrak Acela services. 200 Wood Avenue South is also conveniently located near the cross-sections of Lincoln Highway, Middlesex Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway.
