The DRX9000: Relief from Chronic Back and Neck Pain

Are you sick of living day-to-day with long-lasting neck or back pain? Have you searched high and low for a safe and effective alternative to surgery? The DRX9000 may be the answer you're looking for.

Beloved by high-level athletes and even celebrities, this advanced medical device employs non-surgical spinal decompression therapy to treat painful conditions such as:

  • Bulging Discs
  • Herniated Discs
  • Spinal Stenosis
  • Facet Syndrome
  • Sciatica
  • Arm Pain from Nerves in Your Neck

The DRX9000 is a device that has been approved by the FDA for treating herniated discs through spinal decompression therapy. This therapy works by applying equal amounts of pressure on your vertebral columns, which stretches your spine and creates a gap between spinal discs. This gap allows for better nutrient flow through your spine, which can help heal injuries gradually with regular treatment sessions. The DRX9000 also utilizes servo motors that rely on nested closed-loop feedback to customize therapy to your unique needs. By using DRX9000, you can often speed up your recovery by addressing your spinal disc issues ASAP.

No Harmful Medications Needed (Do we really need this paragraph or could we just mention it int he beginning about how it is a non-pharmaceutical method)

Perhaps the most significant advantage of the DRX9000 is that it provides a non-pharmaceutical method for relieving pain. With the opioid epidemic affecting the entire nation, many patients are reluctant to take prescription painkillers. The DRX9000 offers a secure and non-addictive alternative for pain relief that does not require medication.

During the course of the treatment, the patient will lie down on a specially designed table that is connected to the machine. The table will then be gently stretched as the machine creates negative pressure within the affected disc. This process will be repeated over a series of sessions, typically ranging from 20 to 30 sessions, depending on the patient's specific condition.

The DRX9000 treatment is considered to be safe and effective for many patients. It is designed to be gentle on the body, and patients usually experience little to no discomfort during their sessions. The machine is also equipped with advanced safety features, including sensors that can detect any sudden movements and stop the machine if necessary.

Experience Optimized Healing with LiteCure Low-Level Laser Therapy

After reading the headline above, you might be asking yourself, "Are lasers really used for physical therapy in cityname, state?" The answer to your question would be a resounding "Yes!" This advanced type of laser therapy harnesses the power of light through photobiomodulation (PBM), which is revolutionizing how patients heal and deal with pain.

Photobiomodulation (PBM) is a medical process that utilizes targeted light to activate the body's natural healing mechanisms. By penetrating deep into the tissue, photons interact with mitochondria (the cellular powerhouses in your body) to increase energy production. This interaction triggers a biological cascade that leads to increased cellular metabolism. As a result, PBM can reduce pain, accelerate tissue repair, and enhance overall well-being.

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) is a non-invasive and painless treatment that utilizes specific wavelengths of light to stimulate healing and reduce pain. It works by penetrating the skin and tissues to promote cellular activity and increase blood flow, which in turn helps to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and accelerate the healing process.

LLLT has been shown to be effective for a variety of conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries, arthritis, neuropathy, and more. It is a safe and gentle treatment option that can aid in regaining function and mobility from injuries, accidents, surgeries, and other conditions. That makes it a viable and trustworthy addition to your personalized physical therapy plan from NJ Sports Spine & Wellness.

LLLT has shown promising results for challenging conditions that other treatments can't match. Some of the most common conditions treated include:

Understanding the Powerful Benefits of Ice Compression Therapy

 Sciatica Pain Therapy Fords, NJ

Game Ready Ice Compression Therapy is an advanced treatment technique that combines the advantages of modern cryotherapy (ice therapy) with the proven benefits of compression therapy. This clinically proven, synergistic approach is widely used in sports medicine, physical therapy, orthopedics, and post-operative care to speed up recovery, alleviate pain and inflammation, and enhance rehabilitation.

The "cold" component of ice compression therapy helps nullify nerve-ending sensitivity, which provides pain relief. The extra compression gives you even more pain relief by reducing swelling and pressure on limbs and other body parts.

By improving lymphatic flow and enhancing blood circulation, compression therapy can help reduce swelling and edema, thereby improving your recovery process and simultaneously reducing pain and discomfort.

The concurrent use of cryotherapy and compression can enhance the body's innate healing mechanisms by reducing inflammation, mitigating tissue damage, and stimulating tissue repair.

Game Ready's combination therapy has been shown to be effective in improving joint flexibility and range of motion by promoting tissue healing. This treatment can be a great option for those looking to alleviate discomfort and improve overall joint health.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Construction of a dozen new pickleball courts is underway at 32-acre Fords Park to satisfy a growing appeal among area residents for this low-impact racket sport.

“Pickleball is growing like crazy. So, we are making sure our residents have plenty of places to play,” said Mayor John E. McCormac, who suggested the new courts.

Work recently began at Fords Park, off King George's Road and Hoover Way, to transform its former football gridiron into 12 pickleball courts, along with a number of other improvements.

Work also includes new shaded seating areas, overhead lights and restrooms, fresh landscaping, new walkways and a repaved parking lot. A second phase of the project is to tentatively include a skate park and a bicycle track, a township spokesperson said.

The township awarded a competitively bid contract to Halecon Inc. of Bridgewater, for the pickleball courts and other park improvements. The township’s engineering department designed the project in-house to save money.

The project’s total cost was not available on Thursday.

Halecon, well-regarding in New Jersey for its state-of-the-art recreation facilities, recently finished new pickleball, tennis and basketball courts at Middlesex County-owned 126-acre William Warren Park, on Florida Grove Road between Woodbridge and Perth Amboy.

Pickleball gained initial popularity in adult communities about a decade ago. Its popularity grew as more people realized that, unlike other racket sports, almost anyone can play.

It is slower-paced than tennis, badminton, or racquetball; it is played with plastic, perforated balls that are less bouncy and do not fly as fast through the air; and its paddles are shorter and lighter.

Pickleball courts much smaller than tennis courts. Almost four pickleball courts can fit onto one tennis court, so there is less ground to cover for players.

Physicians say playing pickleball also has health benefits for people in all age groups as a low-impact aerobic sport that improves hand-eye coordination, flexibility and balance.

In the first post-Covid Kimura Shukokai International (KSI) World Championships in Cape Town, South Africa, a team of 39 competitors from the USA, ages 12 to 61, competed successfully in various events and divisions against 14 other countries and over 600 total competitors. A contingent of referees and coaches, the most senior practitioners of Kimura Shukokai Karate and themselves former champions and competitors, were also in attendance. They ensured the quality of officiation and helped the competitors position themselves for success in the various events. In the end, the United States came in fourth in the medal count (15 total medals) out of 15 countries.

The KSI World Championships are held every two years. However, the pandemic disrupted the scheduling of the tournament, so this years’ tournament was the first in five years. It consists of two categories of events – kata (or forms), where competitors demonstrate a sequence of fighting moves and are judged on the quality of displayed technique, and kumite (or fighting) where competitors spar with one another to score points for successful controlled strikes. Each of these events is divided into divisions based on age, and in the case of kumite, weight class.

One of the USA’s gold medalists was its youngest competitor, Manav Bhatt, who was competing in his first international event. He defeated several other children to advance to the finals. In the finals, he overcame a tense moment when, after he walked up to start his kata, he was called back because an official, who was a countryman of his opponent, needed to be changed out in favor of a neutral country judge. Despite this restart, Manav went out and performed one of the most complex katas practiced in Kimura Shukokai and did it brilliantly. His performance earned him a 3-2 judges decision and the world championship in his division.

Other USA gold medalists included Nicole Bressaw, who is the daughter of Shihan Bill Bressaw, a 9th degree black belt and one of the three chief instructors who lead KSI. Nicole, herself a fourth degree black belt, won gold in women’s kata as she has several times in the past, and additionally, took silver in women’s lightweight kumite. She competed in the kumite category in an all-USA final with Nikki Margiotta from the USA’s Pearl River, NY dojo, who won her first championship gold medal. Nicole and Nikki both demonstrated that the women continue to be a strength for the USA delegation.

Nicole and Nikki were not the only all-USA final. In the girl’s division, Taryn Gilbert from the Essex, NJ dojo and Tara Sarma from the Fords, NJ dojo went head to head for the championship in kata. Both gave an exceptional performance, with Taryn ultimately receiving the judges’ nods to take the championship. The two, who also compete as part of a three-person synchronized kata team, have many great tournament performances ahead.

The tradition of success on the women’s side was also carried forward by Sensei Jana Siperstein-Szucs. Jana advanced to the finals in Veteran Women’s Kata, ultimately taking a silver medal in that event.

Meanwhile, Sensei Christina Ioannides, one of the most successful women fighters in the history of USA Shukokai, took bronze in the Heavyweight Women’s Kumite division. She also teamed with Nicole and Nikki in Women’s Team Kumite to take bronze in that event. Leila Gilbert also earned a bronze medal, fighting in the Girl's Youth Kumite Heavyweight division and Emily Todd took third place in Ladies Under 21 Kata.

On the men’s side, Eric Aristizabal from Pearl River scored a last-moment two-point “ippon” to nose out an opponent and advance to the finals of the Men’s Light Heavyweight kumite event. Eric took silver in that event. Esteban Oliveros, also from Pearl River, advanced to the finals to take silver in men’s kata.

Eric and Esteban teamed with Jerald Wesley, Morgan Jones, Evan Pleasic, Dan Smith and Brett Fingerman in Men’s Team Kumite, a best of five fighting event, to take bronze there as well.

The men’s fighting success continued in the Veteran’s Division, where Brett Fingerman and Dave Szucs, the lead instructors at Bressaw’s Middlesex Karate in Fords and Edison, NJ, respectively, both took bronze medals against tough competition. It was an emotional moment to see the two, standing on the podium together, having been long-time training partners and co-instructors.

The rest of Team USA competed valiantly, many for the first time. Although they did not medal, both the training that they underwent and the experience they gained in competing will lay the groundwork for future success. In addition, the international friendships that were formed and beautiful sights and scenery of Cape Town, South Africa, made it an experience none of the team will soon forget. Many have vowed to return to compete in the 2025 World Championships, which are tentatively scheduled to be held in Finland.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Students, staff and local officials held opening ceremonies at Lafayette Estates School 25 in Fords, and at Matthew Jago School 28 in Sewaren, marking competition of $26 million worth of improvements and expansions at each school building.

Funds for sweeping renovations at the two elementary schools — among the district’s oldest – are from a 2020 voter-approved bond referendum that did not increase taxpayer-debt. Instead, the bonds are being repaid with money generated from Woodbridge new warehouses and from a prior municipal property sale.

The referendum also paid for pod buildings at Kennedy Park School #24 in Iselin and at Lynn Crest School #22 in Colonia, and infrastructure improvements, enhanced security and technology upgrades throughout the district.

On hand for ribbon-cutting ceremonies at each school on Thursday, Oct. 5, were Superintendent Joseph Massimino, Mayor John E. McCormac and state Assembly Speaker Craig J. Coughlin; school board President Brian Molnar, with board members Daniel Harris, Marie Anderson and Sue Bourdin; Lafayette Estates Principal Edward K. Braunsdorf and Matthew Jago’s Principal Thomas Perry; with teachers, staff, students and parents.

The school district “is beyond proud of these additions and improvements at Lafayette Estates and Matthew Jago Elementary Schools. “They (create) environments that will help our students and staff flourish,” Massimino said, expressing gratitude to other local officials, school board members, parents and the community who support district improvements.

“These major school additions are a lasting legacy to our (township’s) economic development efforts, where we generate millions of dollars in tax revenue from warehouses, and invest those funds in our schools,” Mayor McCormac said.

“Over a ten-year period from 2017 through 2026, we will have invested over $200 million in three brand new schools, two major renovations and additions (at Lafayette Estates and Matthew Jago); improved athletic facilities, enhanced technology and, perhaps most importantly, a significant sum in security to keep our students and faculty safe,” McCormac explained.

“Those funds come from new businesses in town, and not from our taxpayers. But, all residents get the benefit of improved property values because their neighborhood schools are newer and more attractive,” the mayor said.

LAFAYETTE ESTATES SCHOOL 25

A $16 million investment paid for a 35,000-square-foot addition with 18 classrooms, gymnasium, cafeteria, multi-fixture restrooms and a nurse suite; plus 5,000-square-feet of renovations to the existing building.

The school’s multi-purpose room is to become a Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) Lab; renovations are being made to the main office and to a high-security vestibule; and there were also air conditioning and heat upgrades; a bus loop turn-around, more paved parking lot and better storm water management.

MATTHEW JAGO SCHOOL 28

Many of the $9.8 million worth of renovations made at the Matthew Jago School were to accommodate special-needs students, the township said in a prepared statement.

The money paid for a 25,000-square-foot addition with eight classrooms, an occupational/physical therapy gym, and two office suites. Each new classroom has a restroom, and the building now has multi-fixture restrooms and a dedicated family restroom with a shower.

The building’s new rooftop HVAC units were also designed with the special services in mind. They provided filtered air with vibration-dampening features to keep the school as quiet as possible. Offices and classrooms have adjustable indirect lighting designed for a calm learning environment to help special-needs students. The building is also now equipped with other special services and safety equipment
