If there's one universal truth in life, it's that it can be unpredictable. Everyone experiences unexpected events that throw us off. Many Americans suffer from chronic neck and back pain - according to research, half of Americans over 18 develop musculoskeletal injuries that last longer than a year. These injuries often cause a range of mobility issues that make everyday tasks seem hard to do. The DRX9000: Relief from Chronic Back and Neck Pain

Are you sick of living day-to-day with long-lasting neck or back pain? Have you searched high and low for a safe and effective alternative to surgery? The DRX9000 may be the answer you're looking for.

Beloved by high-level athletes and even celebrities, this advanced medical device employs non-surgical spinal decompression therapy to treat painful conditions such as:

  • Bulging Discs
  • Herniated Discs
  • Spinal Stenosis
  • Facet Syndrome
  • Sciatica
  • Arm Pain from Nerves in Your Neck

The DRX9000 is a device that has been approved by the FDA for treating herniated discs through spinal decompression therapy. This therapy works by applying equal amounts of pressure on your vertebral columns, which stretches your spine and creates a gap between spinal discs. This gap allows for better nutrient flow through your spine, which can help heal injuries gradually with regular treatment sessions. The DRX9000 also utilizes servo motors that rely on nested closed-loop feedback to customize therapy to your unique needs. By using DRX9000, you can often speed up your recovery by addressing your spinal disc issues ASAP.

No Harmful Medications Needed (Do we really need this paragraph or could we just mention it int he beginning about how it is a non-pharmaceutical method)

Perhaps the most significant advantage of the DRX9000 is that it provides a non-pharmaceutical method for relieving pain. With the opioid epidemic affecting the entire nation, many patients are reluctant to take prescription painkillers. The DRX9000 offers a secure and non-addictive alternative for pain relief that does not require medication.

During the course of the treatment, the patient will lie down on a specially designed table that is connected to the machine. The table will then be gently stretched as the machine creates negative pressure within the affected disc. This process will be repeated over a series of sessions, typically ranging from 20 to 30 sessions, depending on the patient's specific condition.

The DRX9000 treatment is considered to be safe and effective for many patients. It is designed to be gentle on the body, and patients usually experience little to no discomfort during their sessions. The machine is also equipped with advanced safety features, including sensors that can detect any sudden movements and stop the machine if necessary.

Experience Optimized Healing with LiteCure Low-Level Laser Therapy

After reading the headline above, you might be asking yourself, "Are lasers really used for physical therapy in cityname, state?" The answer to your question would be a resounding "Yes!" This advanced type of laser therapy harnesses the power of light through photobiomodulation (PBM), which is revolutionizing how patients heal and deal with pain.

Photobiomodulation (PBM) is a medical process that utilizes targeted light to activate the body's natural healing mechanisms. By penetrating deep into the tissue, photons interact with mitochondria (the cellular powerhouses in your body) to increase energy production. This interaction triggers a biological cascade that leads to increased cellular metabolism. As a result, PBM can reduce pain, accelerate tissue repair, and enhance overall well-being.

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) is a non-invasive and painless treatment that utilizes specific wavelengths of light to stimulate healing and reduce pain. It works by penetrating the skin and tissues to promote cellular activity and increase blood flow, which in turn helps to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and accelerate the healing process.

LLLT has been shown to be effective for a variety of conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries, arthritis, neuropathy, and more. It is a safe and gentle treatment option that can aid in regaining function and mobility from injuries, accidents, surgeries, and other conditions. That makes it a viable and trustworthy addition to your personalized physical therapy plan from NJ Sports Spine & Wellness.

LLLT has shown promising results for challenging conditions that other treatments can't match. Some of the most common conditions treated include:

  • Muscle Pain
  • Pain from Tendinopathy
  • Osteoarthritis Pain
  • Swollen Joints
  • Myofascial Pain

Game Ready Ice Compression Therapy is an advanced treatment technique that combines the advantages of modern cryotherapy (ice therapy) with the proven benefits of compression therapy. This clinically proven, synergistic approach is widely used in sports medicine, physical therapy, orthopedics, and post-operative care to speed up recovery, alleviate pain and inflammation, and enhance rehabilitation.

The "cold" component of ice compression therapy helps nullify nerve-ending sensitivity, which provides pain relief. The extra compression gives you even more pain relief by reducing swelling and pressure on limbs and other body parts.

By improving lymphatic flow and enhancing blood circulation, compression therapy can help reduce swelling and edema, thereby improving your recovery process and simultaneously reducing pain and discomfort.

The concurrent use of cryotherapy and compression can enhance the body's innate healing mechanisms by reducing inflammation, mitigating tissue damage, and stimulating tissue repair.

Game Ready's combination therapy has been shown to be effective in improving joint flexibility and range of motion by promoting tissue healing. This treatment can be a great option for those looking to alleviate discomfort and improve overall joint health.

MONTVILLE, NJ – What started out as a cruise to the Bahamas had a rocky start as a ship that 13 Montville Township residents were travelling on experienced a 115-mph wind gust, according to ABC News, which made the ship tilt to 45° and sent passengers sprawling. Montville resident Brielle Cook was travelling with friends and family, including Deputy Mayor Frank Cooney, when the incident occurred Sunday night.

“I was in my room at the time of the incident,” Cook told TAPinto Montville. “We were feeling sea sick so we stayed in that night. Out of nowhere we heard glasses on the counter start sliding down and crashing to the floor. Before we knew it everything was flying across the room and when we tried to get up we couldn't get our balance, so we had to hold on to the bathroom door. We knew something wasn't right, but didn't know what was happening. Everyone thought they were going to die.”

Cook said that when the ship righted itself, she and her family ran into the hallway, finding many passengers screaming and panicking.

“They were announcing codes overhead that we weren't familiar with, which made us know something really wasn't right,” she said. “Eventually the captain came overhead and said we hit unexpected wind and everything was okay.”

Cook’s mother offered to help, and was told that those with medical experience should go to the medical center, Cook said.

“When I arrived, there were three nurses and doctors caring for an influx of patients, so I helped to triage them and assist the doctors with procedures,” she said. Cook is an ICU nurse and Montville fire fighter. She helped treat about 100 patients with broken bones and cuts, she said.

When the ship arrived in Port Canaveral, Florida, there were ambulances and paramedics waiting to take eight injured passengers to the hospital, Cook said. The patients were treated and released, according to ABC News. The ship continued on its course and the Montville group is enjoying the rest of their vacation, although Cooney told TAPinto Montville that they have some cuts from broken glass and the situation was “scary as hell.”

Word is quickly spreading through the pipeline of a giant bluefin tuna landed this weekend in 100 feet of water.

The tuna have been local since at least April said Capt. Kris Black of the Fish Stix, a triple-engine center consul. Black said he's been putting in time, trying to get the fish to bite without any luck despite reading them. However, he and his crew of Ian Bonham, Jeff Paetzold and Bill Young finally broke through on Sunday, when they wrestled in an 82-inch giant.

Black said they were trolling 57-degree water. The big tuna struck a Joe Shute ballyhoo skirt. The fish was weighed at Brielle Yacht Club, where despite the length weighed a little under 300 pounds.

The last few years has seen a pretty good spring bluefin fishery. This landing perhaps is the signal of the start of another run. It comes just a couple of weeks before Manasquan River Marlin and Tuna Club's 5th annual Bluefin Open, which will be fished June 7-11. The Captain's Meeting is June 5th at the Pig & Parrot on the river in Brielle.

Last year the tournament, which is the first big game contest of the season here, paid out $162K with over 80 boat entries ranging from 19 feet to 80 feet.

It was a bit groggy on Saturday with rain coming down in buckets at times. A lot of the party boats still went out for sea bass and the catch was pretty good. Capt. Howard Bogan Jr. on the 125-foot Jamaica said most people easily got their limit of 10 fish, plus some ling.

Sunday was just as good. Capt. Bobby Quinn on the Ocean Explorer said his fares that used jigs seemed to have the advantage over bait, as far as the speed in which they landed their catch. By the end of the day, it didn't seem to matter as the anglers using bait caught up. Quinn observed some fluke come over the rail, as well.

There are some big, gator bluefish swimming in Barnegat Bay. Grumpy's Bait and Tackle in Seaside Park weighed in a 15-pound bluefish on Friday for an angler who was fishing with bait from a dock. Grumpy's also weighed in several striped bass over the weekend, a couple of which were from anglers returning from fishing the Governor's Cup surf contest at Island Beach State Park, which was Sunday. Salted clams seemed to have the fish's number.

There was a 44-inch striped bass caught and released at Monmouth Beach on clams, said Mike Pento at Giglio's Bait & Tackle in Sea Bright. The surf fishing has been okay on that stretch of beach up to Sandy Hook. Surf fishermen have been getting opportunities for bass and the blues have been coming in and out of the surf periodically. Pento said the boaters are doing better, about a mile off the beach trolling the rocks for bass.

Monmouth Co. Man Charged In Insider Trading Scheme, Feds Say

BRIELLE, NJ - A Brielle man and former partner at a Red Bank broker-dealer firm was charged Thursday with engaging in an insider trading scheme that netted him $3.4 million in illegal profits, federal officials said.

Christopher Matthaei, 44, of Brielle, was charged with one count of securities fraud conspiracy and one count of securities fraud, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said in a statement. Matthaei appeared Thursday in Newark federal court and was released on $250,000 unsecured bond.

“Federal laws targeting insider trading are designed to protect the general public from those who attempt to cash in on private information,” FBI Newark Special Agent in Charge James E. Dennehy said. “We allege Matthaei used his knowledge to make more than $3 million, disregarding the rules and policies everyone is required to follow. His position doesn't give him, or anyone else, the power to break the law.”

Matthaei was a partner and senior salesperson at a Charlotte, North Carolina-based broker-dealer with offices in Red Bank, New Jersey, federal officials said.

Between May 2020 through February 2021, Matthaei illegally traded on non-public information that he received from a conspirator friend who worked at a large Canadian asset management firm, federal officials said.

Find out what's happening in Red Bank-Shrewsburywith free, real-time updates from Patch.

“As alleged, Christopher Matthaei illegally exploited his relationship with a close friend to gain access to confidential information about yet-to-be-announced mergers and acquisitions involving special purpose acquisition companies, or SPACs,” Sellinger said. “SPACs may have been a hot trend on Wall Street, but the District of New Jersey will continue to be relentless in bringing inside traders to justice, no matter the market trends.”

Though the firm’s employees were prohibited from buying or selling the SPACs’ securities, the co-conspirator shared the confidential information with Matthaei, who then purchased securities in the SPACs using his personal brokerage accounts.

The securities fraud count carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $5 million fine; the securities fraud conspiracy count carries a maximum potential penalty of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine, or twice the gross amount of gain or loss from the offense, whichever is greatest.

Sellinger credited special agents of the FBI, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge James E. Dennehy in Newark, with the investigation leading to the arrest.

uring the 1940s, Le Mondine – or “The Weeders” – were an agricultural workforce made of mostly women in northern Italy. These women weeded Italy’s rice fields to help maintain its massive rice economy while fighting for female cultural recognition. La Mondina, a new Italian restaurant in Brielle, Monmouth County, is an ode to the women of Italian households.

The 10,000-square-foot spot seats 250 inside, plus another 50 outside. Fireplaces and greenery give the restaurant a homey feeling. In fact, even the bar provides a warm, cozy vibe. “It has a rustic and farmhouse-like inside,” describes co-owner Carmine DeRosa.

Since closing their Seaside Heights restaurant in 2017, co-owners DeRosa and Charles Messina have been looking at new venues. Along with general manager Nick DeRosa, the team found just the building they were looking for. “We wanted a location that we felt could use good Italian food with catering,” says co-owner DeRosa. “Not a lot of facilities in the area could accommodate parties and also have a nice Italian restaurant.”

Chef Timothy Spielman helms the kitchen, who some may know from his time at Brando’s Citi Cucina in Asbury Park. Although the menu is Italian, La Mondina puts their stamp on dishes in a way guests will love.

For cold appetizers, DeRosa suggests the ricotta crostini; fresh ricotta, roasted grapes, prosciutto, basil and aged balsamic. But for hot apps, one instant favorite is their black mussels in a spicy tomato sauce.

Of course, La Mondina also has signature pizzas. Particularly, DeRosa recommends the prosciutto pizza, made in their brick oven. As for seafood lovers, the scallops with asparagus and risotto are a delicious option.

In addition, pastas are made fresh daily in house. “That takes it to the next level,” says DeRosa. Bolognese is their specialty dish made fresh daily, which takes 4.5 hours to make. “We’re not your traditional come-in-and-get-your-normal-Italian-dishes restaurant,” says DeRosa. “We’re rustic Italian. It’s traditional Italian and we put our little twist into it, making it more authentic.”

Finally, their dessert items include cheesecake and salted caramel budino, a brown-sugar rum custard topped with salted caramel.

La Mondina plans to offer weekend entertainment. Fridays will feature happy hours with an acoustic singer. Next, Saturdays offer an entertainer for late-night music. Perhaps best of all, stop in on Sundays for renditions of tunes by Frank Sinatra and other Rat Pack crooners.

The restaurant features multiple private dining spaces. They can accommodate parties ranging from intimate gatherings like a birthday party to larger events like bridal showers, communions or corporate functions for more than 100 guests. “Private parties are a big focus here,” says DeRosa. “That’s what we had in mind when we designed this place. Not a lot of spots in the area can accommodate a party of more than 60 people.”

La Mondina is now open at 110 Union Avenue in Brielle. For more information, visit their website or call 732-612-8331.

BRIELLE, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- For many living in a small central New Jersey borough, they may be able to look through a fence, but they still see a big problem.

As CBS2's Hazel Sanchez reported Monday, it's the size of it that has many teed off.

The number of complaints coming in are just as lofty as the 65-foot net barrier many living in the borough want gone.

"It's unsightly, it's unsafe and it's unpermitted," resident Tony Mascia said.

Residents in Brielle said a homeowner on Riverview Drive built the net fence to block golf balls from coming into his yard last August. It's right up against the Manasquan River Golf Course.

"We bought here knowing we were going to get golf balls in our yard. That's just the way it is. He should have known the same thing," resident Robin Hackett said.

MORE: Man Sacrifices Childhood Home To Build Golf Course For Inner-City Kids

The house was built in 1920, around the same time the course was built. But neighbors say the homeowner bought the house less than five years ago, ripping down already existing trees to build the 65-foot tall fence by his pool house, a barrier that's almost as tall as the White House.

"There's a lot of concerns, the visual as well as the safety," resident Patricia Housen said.

Housen can see the fence from her backyard. She started a petition to remove the fence.

"That's a commercial type of structure, nothing I would ever imagine a homeowner would ever put on a residential property," Housen said.

Neighbors said they're concerned mostly because of the safety. They fear a massive storm could bring the poles down, especially since they say they weren't properly installed. They say the poles are only 10 feet in the ground and were never approved first by the area's planning board, Sanchez reported.

"If that's not in properly, or up to code, that could just turn into a massive problem," resident Barbara Buckelew said.

The planning board attorney wouldn't comment on camera, but said the homeowner exceeded the borough's 6-foot rule for fences.

"You can't just do what you want to do. There are laws for that and obviously they weren't followed," Mascia said.

CBS2 tried to talk to the homeowners to get their side of the story, but they didn't want to share it.

The matter will be discussed at the next planning board meeting, on Sept. 10.
