If there's one universal truth in life, it's that it can be unpredictable. Everyone experiences unexpected events that throw us off. Many Americans suffer from chronic neck and back pain - according to research, half of Americans over 18 develop musculoskeletal injuries that last longer than a year. These injuries often cause a range of mobility issues that make everyday tasks seem hard to do. The DRX9000: Relief from Chronic Back and Neck Pain

Are you sick of living day-to-day with long-lasting neck or back pain? Have you searched high and low for a safe and effective alternative to surgery? The DRX9000 may be the answer you're looking for.

Beloved by high-level athletes and even celebrities, this advanced medical device employs non-surgical spinal decompression therapy to treat painful conditions such as:

  • Bulging Discs
  • Herniated Discs
  • Spinal Stenosis
  • Facet Syndrome
  • Sciatica
  • Arm Pain from Nerves in Your Neck

The DRX9000 is a device that has been approved by the FDA for treating herniated discs through spinal decompression therapy. This therapy works by applying equal amounts of pressure on your vertebral columns, which stretches your spine and creates a gap between spinal discs. This gap allows for better nutrient flow through your spine, which can help heal injuries gradually with regular treatment sessions. The DRX9000 also utilizes servo motors that rely on nested closed-loop feedback to customize therapy to your unique needs. By using DRX9000, you can often speed up your recovery by addressing your spinal disc issues ASAP.

No Harmful Medications Needed (Do we really need this paragraph or could we just mention it int he beginning about how it is a non-pharmaceutical method)

Perhaps the most significant advantage of the DRX9000 is that it provides a non-pharmaceutical method for relieving pain. With the opioid epidemic affecting the entire nation, many patients are reluctant to take prescription painkillers. The DRX9000 offers a secure and non-addictive alternative for pain relief that does not require medication.

During the course of the treatment, the patient will lie down on a specially designed table that is connected to the machine. The table will then be gently stretched as the machine creates negative pressure within the affected disc. This process will be repeated over a series of sessions, typically ranging from 20 to 30 sessions, depending on the patient's specific condition.

The DRX9000 treatment is considered to be safe and effective for many patients. It is designed to be gentle on the body, and patients usually experience little to no discomfort during their sessions. The machine is also equipped with advanced safety features, including sensors that can detect any sudden movements and stop the machine if necessary.

Experience Optimized Healing with LiteCureâ„¢ Low-Level Laser Therapy

After reading the headline above, you might be asking yourself, "Are lasers really used for physical therapy in cityname, state?" The answer to your question would be a resounding "Yes!" This advanced type of laser therapy harnesses the power of light through photobiomodulation (PBM), which is revolutionizing how patients heal and deal with pain.

Photobiomodulation (PBM) is a medical process that utilizes targeted light to activate the body's natural healing mechanisms. By penetrating deep into the tissue, photons interact with mitochondria (the cellular powerhouses in your body) to increase energy production. This interaction triggers a biological cascade that leads to increased cellular metabolism. As a result, PBM can reduce pain, accelerate tissue repair, and enhance overall well-being.

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) is a non-invasive and painless treatment that utilizes specific wavelengths of light to stimulate healing and reduce pain. It works by penetrating the skin and tissues to promote cellular activity and increase blood flow, which in turn helps to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and accelerate the healing process.

LLLT has been shown to be effective for a variety of conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries, arthritis, neuropathy, and more. It is a safe and gentle treatment option that can aid in regaining function and mobility from injuries, accidents, surgeries, and other conditions. That makes it a viable and trustworthy addition to your personalized physical therapy plan from NJ Sports Spine & Wellness.

LLLT has shown promising results for challenging conditions that other treatments can't match. Some of the most common conditions treated include:

  • Muscle Pain
  • Pain from Tendinopathy
  • Osteoarthritis Pain
  • Swollen Joints
  • Myofascial Pain
  • Back and Neck Pain

Freeze Away Pain and Swelling with Ice Compression Therapy

Game Ready Ice Compression Therapy is an advanced treatment technique that combines the advantages of modern cryotherapy (ice therapy) with the proven benefits of compression therapy. This clinically proven, synergistic approach is widely used in sports medicine, physical therapy, orthopedics, and post-operative care to speed up recovery, alleviate pain and inflammation, and enhance rehabilitation.

Understanding the Powerful Benefits of Ice Compression Therapy

Game Ready Ice Compression Therapy is an advanced treatment technique that combines the advantages of modern cryotherapy (ice therapy) with the proven benefits of compression therapy. This clinically proven, synergistic approach is widely used in sports medicine, physical therapy, orthopedics, and post-operative care to speed up recovery, alleviate pain and inflammation, and enhance rehabilitation.

The "cold" component of ice compression therapy helps nullify nerve-ending sensitivity, which provides pain relief. The extra compression gives you even more pain relief by reducing swelling and pressure on limbs and other body parts.

By improving lymphatic flow and enhancing blood circulation, compression therapy can help reduce swelling and edema, thereby improving your recovery process and simultaneously reducing pain and discomfort.

The concurrent use of cryotherapy and compression can enhance the body's innate healing mechanisms by reducing inflammation, mitigating tissue damage, and stimulating tissue repair.

Game Ready's combination therapy has been shown to be effective in improving joint flexibility and range of motion by promoting tissue healing. This treatment can be a great option for those looking to alleviate discomfort and improve overall joint health.

VegNews recently released a list of the 25 Best Vegan Mexican Food Spots Across the U.S. — and one Jersey Shore restaurant made the top 20.

Luna Verde in Bradley Beach, which opened in 2018, is known for esquites, a traditional street corn salad made with vegan mayo and cheese; tacos, burritos and chimichangas stuffed with plant-based asada and al pastor fillings; and vegan takes on tres leches cake and flan.

The 25 eateries on the VegNews list were chosen for going "above and beyond bean and rice burritos, supplying hungry eaters with food that is comforting, familiar and ultimately delicious."

The VegNews story also mentioned how Luna Verde gives back.

"The community-focused eatery also offers a community taco bowl, allowing customers to pay what they can afford, or pay more to feed future customers who may be under more financial strain."

Vegan treats:Vegan bakery opening in Atlantic Highlands with cookies that are out of this world

Vegetarian options:Colorado-based Korean BBQ chain to open four restaurants at the Jersey Shore

Luna Verde is owned by the Hildago family (Mahonrry Hidalgo, Eslin Morris and their teen son Marel), whose vegan diets sparked a passion for sharing plant-based Mexican food with their community.

“We are setting the vegan table for everyone to join around the well-known and loved traditional Mexican cuisine,” Morris said in a previous story. “We are passionate about coming together and sharing vegan food, love and kindness.”

This win comes just after the restaurant was recently dubbed one of "15 Latine-Owned Vegan Restaurants in America You Must Try" by VegOut. The platform called Luna Verde "your destination for scratch-made vegan multicultural food in New Jersey."

“We are humbled and honored to be named as one of [the best] by VegNews, just two days after we were named as one of the top 15 ... by VegOut," Morris said. "In times when scratch-made, traditional, slow-cooked cuisines are losing ground to highly processed … experimental “vegan” items from unhealthy and unethical chains, it’s encouraging to see how there’s still some attention to family-owned small businesses like ours."

The restaurant is temporarily on a flex schedule, and only doing pick-up and take-out to support Marel's budding guitar career. See Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates.

BRADLEY BEACH, NJ — A Bradley Beach woman has dedicated months of training to take part in a cross-country bicycle ride that raises money for cancer. Ashley Pinnola will be riding in the 10th Annual Coast 2 Coast 4 Cancer bike ride, a fundraising event sponsored by the pharmaceutical company Bristol Myers Squibb.

The Coast 2 Coast 4 Cancer bike ride will entail 126 Bristol Myers Squibb employees riding in segments from Cannon Beach, Oregon to Long Branch, New Jersey, totaling over 3,000 miles. Pinnola will be riding with her team for three days from Bend, Oregon to Boise, Idaho, around 80 miles per day.

This is Pinnola’s first time participating in Coast 2 Coast 4 Cancer, and while she says she likes to keep an athletic and healthy lifestyle, she has never done anything quite like this. She has been training for the September event since April of this year.

“I enjoy sports, I enjoy being athletic, but I’ve never trained for anything in this manner — It’s been pretty intense… I have trained up to 100 miles per week in different weather. It’s been a hot summer, I’ve been stuck in thunderstorms and pouring rain,” Pinnola said. “I actually did my first 70-mile ride just a couple of weeks ago. So seeing where I started, having never ridden a road bike, to where I am now, is kind of shocking… But it’s awesome, and I’m proud of myself.”

The ride raises money for the V Foundation for Cancer Research, a charitable organization that was founded by ESPN and legendary basketball coach Jim Valvano. In its 30 years, The V Foundation has “awarded over $310 million in cancer research grants nationwide and has grown to become one of the premier supporters of cutting-edge cancer research.”

Riders form teams that are responsible for fundraising for the V Foundation. Pinnola’s team, “Bend Never Break,” is currently in the lead for the most money raised with $80,051. Riders are also responsible for individual fundraising, and Pinnola has raised around $2,700 personally so far, just over half of her $5,000 goal. Overall, the event has raised a total of $554,483 for the V Foundation so far.

The teams, each made up of about 15 riders, also ride their segment together. Pinnola said she is looking forward to being able to ride the 225 mile segment with her teammates.

“I’m excited for the team aspect. We’ve had a couple of practice rides together, and it’s so much easier when riding with the group rather than going solo,” Pinnola said. “We’ll be riding for three days together. It’ll be great to have them to kind of lean on, and to have that support... So I’m excited to bond with my team.”

The ride’s cause especially hits home for Pinnola, since two of her late grandparents have battled cancer. Additionally, her uncle is currently fighting brain cancer. Pinnola said when she feels like stopping during training, she thinks of them and continues on.

“The whole cause is just larger than life. I feel like sometimes with cancer, the amount of people affected by it, it feels kind of hopeless and there’s really nothing you can do,” she said. “But I feel like this is a way I can contribute, and feel like I am making a difference, positively, in cancer patients' lives.”

“I will be riding foremost for my uncle, whose currently fighting brain cancer, and really just everyone affected by cancer. My late grandpa and grandma were also affected,” Pinnola continued. “When I’m feeling like I want to stop, and this has happened through training also, I just think about my uncle. I think about what cancer patients go through, and I can do this. If they can fight cancer I can get through this.”

Pinnola also said that this ride is especially important to Bristol Myers Squibb, not only because it is the ride’s 10th anniversary, but also because the company recently lost an employee to breast cancer. The ride will be in honor of the company’s late employee, and Pinnola will also be thinking about her during the journey.

Pinnola said she’s incredibly excited to see the sights from Oregon to Idaho, however, what is most important to her is “ making a positive impact on cancer research and cancer patients.”

To donate to the cause, you can visit Bristol Myers Squibb’s website here. Additionally, you can donate specifically to Pinnola’s individual fundraising campaign by clicking here. The 10th Annual Coast 2 Coast 4 Cancer will take place from September 7 to October 3, and Pinnola’s segment will be from September 10 to September 12.

When was the last time you went out to eat and had a truly exceptional meal?

I mean, one that you'll remember for years to come.

Sure, it's easy to go out and have a "great time" or say, "that was really good," but I'm talking about a night out that you'll think about for practically eternity.

So where exactly can you go for that level of culinary expertise?

The good news is you're in New Jersey and there are excellent restaurants - quite literally - across all 8,700+ square miles of this state.

Foodies vote with their forks

If you are a diehard foodie who is always looking for that next five-star dish, thousands of voters across the Garden State recently did a lot of the work for you by determining the best of the best restaurants here.

And to make things easier, they picked three -- one in North Jersey, one in Central Jersey (we're assuming Central Jersey actually exists this time), and one in South Jersey.

Not long ago, New Jersey Monthly asked folks to vote for their favorite restaurants and their selections did not disappoint.

Let's take dive in...

Central Jersey Winner: Nicholas Barrel & Roost, Red Bank

What NJMonthly said:

The Barrel part of the name refers to Nicholas’s barrel-aged bourbons and subscription wine sales. “Roost” fits the menu—hello, fried chicken!—and also the overall informality.

What diners have said:

Location:

Nicholas Barrel & Roost is located at 160 Route 35 in Red Bank, Monmouth County.

North Jersey Winner: Lorena’s, Maplewood

What NJMonthly said:

Satisfying burgers, pastas and risottos coexist with crisp-skinned duck breast and a trout amandine on a lively vegetable hash. Desserts like warm chocolate cake and panna cotta seem like usual suspects, but the execution is exemplary.

Lorena's has a rather large trophy case as they were ranked #2 in the state by The Star-Ledger in 2005 and the best North Jersey restaurant in 2021 and 2022.

What diners have said:

Location:

Lorena's is at 160 Maplewood Avenue in Maplewood, Essex County.

South Jersey Winner: 410 Bank Street in Cape May

What New Jersey Leisure Guide says:

410 Bank Street, a long time favorite Cape May restaurant continues to offer well executed, creative, exotic fare, with matching ambiance ------- one of Cape May's best chef driven, fine dining experiences.

What diners have said:

Location:

410 Bank Street is located at, you guessed it, 410 Bank Street in Cape May.

Meanwhile, if you wish to check out the best reataurants at the Jersey Shore...

Bradley Beach, New Jersey Pursues Digital Transformation

Bradley Beach, New Jersey, Feb. 01, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- A transition from paper to digital processes is underway in Bradley Beach, New Jersey where local officials have sought greater efficiency in municipal operations and constituent services. The city recently partnered with GovPilot, a Manasquan, New Jersey based provider of cloud-based government management software.

Officials from Bradley Beach are working with GovPilot to implement a number of digital capabilities and public facing forms that aim to make operations more efficient and services more convenient for constituents and visitors to the picturesque shorefront municipality whose population can swell to 30,000 during the summer months.

Bradley Beach is initially utilizing GovPilot to digitize forms and processes for Business Registration, Certificates of Continued Occupancy, Construction Permits, Dog Licenses, Fire Prevention, Open Public Records Requests, Work Orders, and non-emergency constituent concern reporting among other uses.

The municipality has deployed GovPilot’s Report-a-Concern feature which enables residents to report non-emergency concerns such as potholes or general code violations directly via a digital form on the township website, or through an app on their phone, called GovAlert. The app, available to residents on Android and iOS devices is easy to use, and routes citizen concerns directly to the relevant municipal department so that the issue can be resolved quickly.

Mayor Larry Fox said, “I encourage residents to download the GovAlert app on their phones and help us improve Bradley Beach by reporting issues that they come across so we can address them quickly. Digital government services are essential to cost effective public safety and services, and we aim to be responsive to our residents.”

“We have been thrilled to work with GovPilot thus far. The digital processes that we’ve been able to make available both to our residents and to our staff have made a huge difference in convenience and efficiency. It has completely transformed our construction department.”, said Pamela Valentine, a Construction Department Permit Tech.

Michael Bonner, the founder and CEO of GovPilot said, “We are excited to work with Bradley Beach on its early stages of digital transformation. Federal funding from the American Rescue Plan Act has spurred local governments to implement digital services and operations. In partnering with local governments across the country we have found that digital processes generate significant increases in efficiency and productivity that have a positive impact on local budgets, services, and constituent experience. We expect to see similar results in Bradley Beach.”
